Although it is hard to believe,these tremendous pop-punk albums from 2010 will be turning 15 years old in 2025. Some of these records came from artists who were already firmly cemented in the genre, trying to keep up with the likes of thehit-making Green Day. Others were trying to build their careers and get off to a great start, just as otherrock bands had with their iconic debuts. Regardless of whether they had been around for a while or not, they all came ready to produce hits.
Some of the songs that emerged from these albums were so good that it was shocking they didn’t end up higher on the charts, yetplenty of rock legends did not reach the coveted number one. Nonetheless, a few came very close to owning the top spot. The success these bands achieved demonstrated why these albums are timeless. That is part of the reason it is so hard to believe they are already 15 years old, asthey are still being played on repeat.

After forming in 2001, Four Years Strong debuted their fourth studio album in 2010. This came after the band switched to Universal Motown Records. Attack! Attack!, the Welsh pop-punk band not to be confused with the metalcore group Attack Attack!, was one of the great up-and-coming acts in the scene during the 2000s. Although they were only active from 2006 to 2013, they released five studio albums during that time.The Latest Fashion, which arrived in 2010,became a prime example of the band’s greatness.
To promote the album, they released three singles but would later release a fourth track as a free download on their record company’s website. That song was “No Excuses,” andit turned out to be one of the defining tunes from the record. Although the album didn’t impact the charts, it did receive positive reviews from many music outlets.

Before releasing their debut album,Something for Nothing,Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! had first released a self-titled EP. The warm reception to this is what prompted the band to finally make a record. One of the most impressive aspects of it was the fact that it was produced by lead vocalist Bert Poncet, who learned how to do so along the way.
Out of the 13 tracks on the album, the band released two of them as singles, “In Friends We Trust” and “Captain Blood.” Following the initial success, they ended up signing with Fearless Records. After helping the band with their breakthrough record,Commit This to Memory,Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus was back to produce Motion City Soundtrack once again. This time it was for their fourth studio album,My Dinosaur Life. Before even hearing a song, the record stood out, not only because of its name, but also due to the simple cartoon dinosaur drawing used for the cover art.
Although it only ranked on threeBillboardcharts, it did so in a big way,reaching number 15 on their coveted 200 list. Its other two rankings saw it attain the third spot on both. Along with being able to support Blink-182 for shows while promoting the record, they also got to play with bands such as Weezer, further placing this release in a prime position.

This release is now remembered for themovercoming adversity and returning to their earlier raw pop-punk sound.

Its quick rise to the top immediately caught people’s attention.
The regular edition of the album featured 11 tracks, with the deluxe edition including two more new ones. It also contained four acoustic renditions of songs from the main track list. Their guitarist, Matt Skiba, has also played with Blink-182, creating two great records with them and continuing to prove his skills as one of the best contributors in pop-punk.

This was their second concept album, which was well-received, just like their previous one,The Black Parade. Just as that album did, this one also ranked in the Top 10 of theBillboard200.
The album tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by a rebellious group called the Killjoys. Although there was no follow-up record to this, lead singerGerard Way continued this story on his own through a comic miniseries. Now that the band has been back together since 2019 and has released a new song, it is possible another album could arrive someday.
