An extremely talentedLEGObuilder has created the ultimateStar Warsdiorama. Several key moments from the Skywalker saga have been given the official brick-built treatment throughvariousStar WarsLEGO sets and modelsreleased over the years. However, the desert world of Tatooine has never been recreated on a level and scale quite like this.

Instagram’s@beyondthebricktvhas highlighted the impressive work of@yodasvodkalegomocsand their latest large-scale diorama, entitled “LEGO Star Wars Podracing.” With the Boonta Eve Classic as the central focus, two small-scale builds of Anakin Skywalker’s and Sebulba’s pods race around a big course utilizing a fully motorized track system. However, podracing is only the beginning of this incredible 170,000-piece LEGO display:

As seen in the above video, this epic LEGO display also features some of the most iconicStar Warsmoments that take place on Tatooine.

Several Major Tatooine Moments Are Recreated in LEGO (And It’s Quite Impressive)

Without a doubt, the Boonta Eve Classic with the moving podracers is the big showstopper of this epic LEGO diorama, especially the start of the course with the fully built stands and structures seen inThe Phantom Menace(and even a viewing box for Jabba the Hutt himself).

WhileLEGO did release an official Mos Espa Podrace Diorama in 2024with Anakin and Sebulba’s pods, it’s got nothing on this.Likewise, the 170,000 pieces allow for so many epic moments to be created around the course as well.

This includes Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi Padawan attacking the Tusken Raider village inAttack of the Clones, Aurra Sing watching the race just like inThe Phantom Menace,Jawas picking up R2-D2 fromA New Hope, and evenQui-Gon and Darth Maul engaging in their firstlightsaber duel.

However, my all-time favorite scene recreated in this mega LEGO MOC (“My Own Creation”) is the Sarlacc Pit as Han Solo tries to save Lando from the Great Pit of Carkoon.

Not only is there a full skiff positioned above, but the creature’s multiple tentacles are moving, having been connected to the motorized track system used for the podracers.

All in all, this new Tatooine LEGO display is one of the most epicStar WarsMOCs I’ve ever seen. It certainly gives the majorGeonosis LEGO MOC from a couple of years agoa run for its money. ForStar Warsand LEGO fans alike, it’s going to be exciting to see what@yodasvodkalegomocsplans on building next.
