Solo Leveling’ssecond season ended with a bang, and it created a lot of questions that the third season needs to answer. The second season ofSolo Levelingwas one of the most succesful in history, breaking records left and right. While it wrapped up a lot of loose ends,it also created a lot of new threads that the third season will definitely pursue.
The third season ofSolo Levelingis under a lot of pressure. The first two seasons were so succesful that the third season will have to follow suit. Thankfully, with the questions that the second season created, the third season really doesn’t have to do a lot of heavy lifting.

If the third season ofSolo Levelingcan answer the questions that the second season put forward, the series will be alright. The third season has the potential to be as big, if not bigger, than the first two seasons, showing that the franchise isn’t anywhere close to running out of steam.
7Who Are the Two Characters at the End of Season 2?
The Blue Character and Beast Character Are Mysterious
The two characters at the end ofSolo Leveling’ssecond season made a brief, foreboding appearance. Their names weren’t revealed, but it’s easy to see that these two characters aren’t going to be weak. They were able to knock out several workers without raising a finger, erasing their memories in the process.
Who are these two characters, and what do they want? One of them looks a lot like Baruka, one ofthe strongest villains inSolo Leveling. The other beastly-looking man doesn’t look like any other character so far, but he’s massive. He’s tall, as muscular as any character in the series, and clearly not one to mess with.

6And Why Was Sung Il-Hwan Following Them?
Is He Going to Be Fighting Them, or Maybe Jinwoo?
Almost nothing is known about the patriarch of the Sung family, Sung Il-Hwan. The only things thatSolo Levelinghas revealed about Jinwoo’s dad are that he was trapped in a Dungeon for 10 years, he used to be a firefighter, and that he’s recently reemerged.
He’s also been shown to be one ofthe strongest Hunters inSolo Leveling.Hwang Dongsoo was an S-Rank Hunter in Korea who could stand against the best of them. He provoked Sung Il-Hwan and the two fought. WhileSolo Levelingdoesn’t show their fight, it does show the aftermath, and Il-Hwan dominated Dongsoo.

When the two mysterious characters show up at the end ofSolo Leveling’ssecond season, Sung Il-Hwan is right behind them. He’s clearly following them, but why? After being gone for a decade, shouldn’t he be reunited with his family? He’s already an enigmatic character, and his actions at the end of the second season only added more to his mysterious story.
5What’s Going on with Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In?
Are Two of the Strongest Hunters in Solo Leveling Going to Date?
Cha Hae-In is one ofthe strongest Korean Hunters inSolo Leveling. She’s one of the youngest S-Rank Hunters in the world, and she proved to be a major asset in the fight against the Ant Queen on Jeju Island. She’s been known to hate the smell of Hunters, but for some reason, Sung Jinwoo smells amazing to her.
They have a palpable level of chemistry that is becoming undeniable. If season three is going to show the two of them together, will they be dating? They would make for a powerhouse of a relationship as two of the strongest Hunters in Korea.

Cha Hae-In has been keeping tabs on Jinwoo. While his identity as a Hunter who can get stronger hasn’t exactly been made public, she knows he’s not a typical Hunter. Her interest in Jinwoo might come to a breaking point in the third season if she wants to find out who he really is.
4Who Are Thomas Andre and Liu Zhigang?
Are There Hunters Stronger Than Sung Jinwoo?
There is a very clear ranking system inSolo Leveling. Each Hunter in the series gets ranked based on their power, and there’s no changing ranks once they’re assigned. The weakest Hunters are E-Rank. Above them are D-Rank, then C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and finally, S-Rank.
While S-Rank has been shown as the strongest rank out of them all, there seems to be a few Hunters even stronger than that. Thomas Andre and Liu Zhigang are two of the Hunters who seem like they have broken the ranking system, so who are they?

These two mysterious Hunters might be just a few of the characters that transcend S-Rank, and they might be the final Hunters to give Sung Jinwoo a legitimate challenge. Jinwoo himself has shown that he’s stronger than a normal S-Rank Hunter during his fight against the Ant King, so maybe he’ll join these two Hunters in whatever rank they happen to be.
3How Strong Is Beru?
Will He Become Even Stronger as a Shadow?
Jinwoo’s named Shadows have proven that they’re no ordinary soldiers. Sure, he has a bunch of strong C-Rank and B-Rank mages, archers, and swordsmen under his belt, but even the strongest Hunters around can’t compare to the likes of Tusk and Igris.
Jinwoo’s Shadows are ridiculously powerful, and they seem to level up when he does, making them even stronger than they were in life. The Ant King was so much stronger than several S-Rank Hunters that he seemed to be on an entirely different level. Now that he’s become Jinwoo’s latest named Shadow, earning the name ‘Beru’, just how strong is he?

Beru showed off a fraction of his strength when he killed a number of the Ants flying from Jeju Island, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. He was almost on par with Jinwoo himself. Season three needs to show Beru’s true strength once and for all.
2Where Do Sung Jinwoo’s Powers Come From?
What is “The System” Anyway?
The events ofthe Double Dungeon Arcare still shrouded in mystery. How did Jinwoo survive? Why did he survive? And most importantly, where do his powers come from? Jinwoo is the only Hunter in the entire franchise who has the ability to get stronger, and even he has no idea why.
Solo Leveling’sthird season would be a great time for Jinwoo to learn more about his mysterious powers and why he has them. There might have been something in the Double Dungeon that not only saved the former E-Rank Hunter’s life but gave him the ability to beat death itself and possess the Shadows of those he’s defeated.

Jinwoo was no match for the Double Dungeon when he first went in as an E-Rank Hunter, but a lot has changed since then. He’s now one ofthe strongest characters inSolo Leveling, taking on an S-Rank Gate during the Jeju Island Arc with ease. The statues that once killed him will absolutely have a hard time doing it again.
1What’s Jinwoo’s New Goal?
He’s Already Accomplished His Main Mission
The biggest question that season three needs to answer might not be the most obvious. Jinwoo’s entire mission throughoutSolo Levelinghas been to find a cure for his mom. He’s gotten stronger with that single goal in mind, and he couldn’t have cared less about anything else.
In one of the most emotionally cathartic moments in shōnen anime, Jinwoo finally cured his mom in season two. He ascended the floors of the Demon Castle, defeated Baran, and finally found a way to cure her of the incurable Eternal Slumber disease.

Now that his mom is awake and back in Jinwoo’s life after four long years, what’s next for the S-Rank Hunter? If season two hinted at his new mission, it was during his fight against the Ant King. After defeating the Ant King, Jinwoo has learned that he possesses a power stronger than the rest of his fellow S-Rank Hunters.
Jinwoo might feel that it’s his responsibility asthe strongest Korean Hunterto defend his people and his nation from the strongest enemies around. He only teleported to Jeju Island when he realized the other Korean S-Rank Hunters were no match for the Ant King, and an event like that might happen again in season 3.
