Sonic the Hedgehoglaunched on Valentine’s Day of 2019, and even with the fact that many video game movies fall short, the film saw massive success. Adam Sandler was one of the individuals who enjoyed the picture, but for him, it was more than just a fun night out, as he communicated in a recent interview onJimmy Kimmel Live!

Sandler told Kimmel that his night started by going to a Los Angeles Lakers game. Instead of heading home, Sandler wanted to continue his evening out and decided to watch his good buddy Jim Carrey’s new film, thewell-reviewedSonic the Hedgehog.
Sandler loved the movie and thought Carrey was great in it, enough so that he called him to let him know.Carrey’s wide range of characterscontinues with Dr. Eggman in this new film. What Sandler didn’t know is that this Lakers andSonicnight would be his last night out before being quarantined.
I called Carrey from the theater. I was telling him how funny he was while it was going on. I didn’t know it was going to be the last movie I ever saw at a movie theater.
Sandler seems to have a mind-meld with the general consensus for theSonicmovie,as the success has led to thedirector of theSonic the Hedgehogmovie wanting to work on a sequel. It’s likely that the triumph of the first movie will lead to more.
