What This Hunger Games Story Means For Star Wars

These Are The Perfect Franchises To Blend Together

The Hunger GamesandStar Warsseem to fit naturally together, mostly because ofthe tragedy yet the undercurrent of hope that runs through both, especially where children and other young adults are concerned. It makes utter sense forThe Crystal Crownspecifically, too; Jecki was still a child when she was brutally murdered by The Stranger.

According to the official synopsis ofThe Crystal Crown, Jecki and Yord will somehow get involved in a ritual that turns deadly quickly, which is undoubtedly whereThe Hunger Gamescomes into play. Getting to see this adventure play out for them willforever change the way they’re seen inThe Acolyte, especially when it comes to their untimely deaths.

The Acolyte Will Get Its Due Justice

Its Story Is Being Improved In Hindsight

A novel likeThe Crystal Crownwill only further enhance the story ofThe Acolytein retrospect, even if it makes Jecki’s and Yord’s deaths more tragic. This is a commonStar Warspractice, which will also be seen in August withClone Force 99’s Tech inSanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel.

UsingThe Hunger Gameswill only further bring these characters fromThe Acolytethe justice they deserve, especially after the TV show’s cancelation. The Hunger Gamesis a popular and revered franchise, much likeStar Warsitself, and that kind of story will serveThe Acolyte’s Jecki and Yord well as we learn more about their lives before the show.

Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Crystal Crownhits bookshelves on Tuesday, July 29th.
