A long-goneMarvelhero is about to make their big return to comics for the first time in over two decades. With the comic world abuzz with the coming excitement of San Diego Comic-Con,Marvel Comics is gettingfans hyped up with a sneak peek at a new one-shot comic that brings a fallen hero back into the spotlight.
This October, Marvel Comics is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month with its new comic,White Tiger: Reborn, a Marvel Voices Comunidades special. The one-shot will feature two stories, one by Daniel José Older and rBruno Abdias and another by Cynthia Pelayo and Moises Hidalgo, and focus on the legacy superhero, White Tiger.
Ava Ayala,the current White Tiger, returns to her old haunts and, while keeping people safe, she becomes wrapped up in a mystery that forces her to confront her brother’s murder. It’s going to be an emotional ride for Ava as the case eventually brings her face-to-face with Hector Ayala,her deceased sibling and the original White Tiger.

While Ava has held the title since the early 2010s,the White Tiger mantleoriginally belonged to her older brother, Hector. Using a collection of tiger-shaped amulets, Hector gained increased strength, dexterity and speed, and he used his power to keep his community safe. Unfortunately, Hector’s time as the White Tiger came to a close after being shot to death.
Given White Tiger’s recent appearance inDaredevil: Born Again, it makes sense that Marvel is highlighting his family’s legacy. But this is a big game-changer as Hector’s been dead for well over two decades. Is Marvel really reviving this icon, or is there more to the storythat the current White Tiger is about to discover?

Fans Will Have to See for Themselves What Hector’s Fate Is
Resurrections can be a godsend, but Ava is going to have to do some soul-searching when she discovers Hector is alive. Why is he back now? And what will this mean for the White Tiger legacy going forward? Few, if any, thought Hector would come back, and this could bea real game-changer for both White Tigers going forward.
Still, this is incredibly cool to see. White Tiger is a great hero and if there’s about to be two, so much the better. Fans are going to have to wait a bit longer to see how White Tiger returns to theMarvel Universe, but it’s certain to be a big moment for the underrated hero.
