Esfandi instantly showed whyhe was the right choice to bring the beloved Jedi to live-action, butAhsokaseason 2’s first look just solidifies that. Not only did he look the part, but he also embodied that sarcastic and overconfident Jedi so many people loved fromRebels.
Because Ezra was stranded in a different galaxy, his hair had grown shaggy, and he sported a thick beard, butAhsokaseason 2’s first look shows that to have changed. In this new image, Ezra is now clean-shaven, and his hair is a bit more styled, reminiscent of the character’s appearance in the first two seasons ofRebels.
The character also seems to look a bit mischievous, possibly in on a prank or an elaborate plan to engage withGrand Admiral Thrawn. Along with this,Ezra’s outfit seems to fit with other individuals within the New Republic, possibly indicating that he’s assimilating into the dynamics of the fledgling government.
It feels as if the character was plucked straight from the animated Rebels.
