Rex Would Be A Perfect Ally In The Fight Against Thrawn
The actor in question isStar Wars’Temuera Morrison, known for bringing the clone troopers of the prequel trilogy to life. This meant that Morrison played Boba Fett and Jango Fett too, with the former last being seen inThe Book of Boba Fett’s ending. Since then, Morrison has been patiently waiting for a return to the franchise.
Morrison commented on this recently, stating that he is waiting for a call from the likes of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. Beyond that,Morrison insisted he would love to play Captain Rex in live-action, preferably without the helmet.
Morrison had a small cameo as a helmeted Rex inAhsokaseason 1, episode 5, but many were hoping for a more active role for the Clone Wars veteran.Ahsokaseason 2 now has the chance to provide that, with the galaxy needing all the heroes it has to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Rex Is A Loyal Ally Of Ahsoka - Where Is He?
One reason whyAhsokaseason 2 should bring back Morrison as Rex is that the actor deserves better. Morrison has been an unshakable mainstay ofStar Warssince the prequels and has always shown excitement and enthusiasm about returning to any of his many roles. For this reason, Morrison deserves anything he wishes from Lucasfilm.
Moreover, it simply makes sense for Rex to be involved inAhsokaseason 2. It is unlikely Rex has passed away by this point, given his involvement in the Battle of Endor, and Rex has always been an ally of Ahsoka and the crew of the Ghost.
If war is brewing, we need to know where Rex is, why he hasn’t helped thus far, and the reason for his return inAhsokaseason 2.
