Unlike a lot of the monthly features, such asTeam GO Rocket Boss Giovanni’s line-up, the different Pokémon forms that Ditto take on don’t change on a regular basis. Before July 2025, the last changes to them came back in 2024, but due to the rarity of Ditto, a refresher on which Pokémon Ditto can disguise itself as can be worthwhile.

Despite a number of recent changes inPokémonGO,Ditto’s disguises remain unchanged from June 2025. This means that it can still be found hiding itself with the appearance of 11 different Pokémon, covering all of the first seven generations of the series. For July 2025, Ditto can disguise itself as the following Pokémon:
To obtain Ditto, you first need to capture one of the above 11 Pokémon. While it could be the actual Pokémon itself, there is also a chance it could be a Ditto in disguise. You won’t know if it is a Ditto or not until you have caught the Pokémon, whenyouwillreceivethemessage, ‘OH’, on screen before it transforms itself into the recognizable Gen 1 Pokémon.
How To Increase The Chances Of Finding Ditto
Using Lures And Incenses To Increase Spawns
Despite Ditto being available inPokémonGOfor a number of years, there isn’t a guaranteed method for finding and then capturing one, but there are a number of methods you can use to increase your chances. Three items can be used to improve your chances of finding one during July 2025. During June,PokémonGOmoved into itsnew season Delightful Days, so we could see an update to Ditto’s disguises later during this three-month season.
Everyday items you can easily get a hold of are the key to finding Ditto inPokémonGO.
Incenses,Lures, and Daily Incense all increase the number of Pokémonthat spawn either near you or at a set location. This, in turn, increases the number of spawns of the 11 Pokémon that Ditto can disguise itself as. Once you have used the items and found one of the potential disguises, you should capture everyone you see, giving you more opportunities to find a Ditto.
By using items, you also have the chance to find the even rarer shiny Ditto. This version looks exactly the same as the normal Ditto, but is blue. Ditto remains one of the most exclusive Pokémon inPokémonGO, but you can use items to improve your chances of finding one this month.
