InAnd Just Like Thatseason 3, episode 11, we see one of Charlotte’s deepest storylines in the revival. Rock (Alexa Swinton) is cast to lead her school’s production ofThoroughly Modern Millie, and one aspect throws Charlotte for a loop. She sees her child dressed in traditionally feminine clothes, and it causes her to have some pretty intense emotions.

Charlotte meets with her friends and discusses how seeing Rock in makeup and a dress made her wonder what life would have been like if Rock had adopted a more feminine persona. When York attends the musical, she has Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) take a picture of Rock, but then deletes it, seemingly accepting the reality of her child’s identity.

And Just Like That… Season 3 Ep 7-11

This storyline is different from what we’ve seen in Charlotte lately.Charlotte’sAnd Just Like Thatseason 3 storyhas been a mess, with the revival making her the joke in nearly every episode. The mother did navigate cancer with her husband, Harry (Evan Handler), but the development was relatively short-lived and used for comic relief.

As anoriginalSex and the Citycharacter, Charlotte deserves to be more than just a comedic foil, but the show has no time to explore her deeper development. Charlotte’s self-reflection due to her parenting journey has led to some of her most significant growth. Still, the conclusion of that will seemingly be rushed for the finale.

Miranda’s Brady Baby Storyline Is One Of And Just Like That’s Best

Miranda’sAnd Just Like Thatstoryline will also end too soon. InAnd Just Like Thatseason 3, episode 10, Miranda learns that her son, Brady (Niall Cunningham), has gotten a girl pregnant, and she’s planning on keeping the baby. The entanglement throws new elements into Miranda’s relationship with her son, complicating things with Joy (Dolly Wells).

This is an interesting callback to Miranda and Steve’sSex and the Citystory, with the Gen Z couple navigating an unplanned pregnancy. Brady’s new life stage also brings Steve (David Eigenberg) back into the fold. Still, with just one episode left of the revival, neither Miranda’s nor Steve’s resolution can be fully implemented.

The series finale ofAnd Just Like Thatairs Thursday, August 14th, on HBO Max.

Knowing that the revival has tapped into some of its best stories makes it especially sad that it will end after season 3. This third installment was feeling more like the original show every week, meaning thatAnd Just Like Thatstill had a lot more to offer, including Miranda and Charlotte’s stories.
