Since the release ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsback in mid-March, players have quickly started to use the game’s array of customization tools and a wide variety of objects to create some crazy in-game replicas.Outfits inspired by films likeMidsommarandThe Lighthousehave surfaced online, while others have terraformed their map to replicate that ofPokemon DiamondandPearlas well as making their town appear like 70s-era Japan.
One player, however, has gone above and beyond with a section of theirNew Horizonsmap, with Twitter user penpen_0907 faithfully recreating the iconic Hyrule Castle gardens mission inThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.The recreation, which the Twitter user has shown off to fans in a video, appears to replicate the infamous section of the game with astounding accuracy, including similar walls, tall hedges, and even an in-game version of Link’s outfit topped off with a green beanie hat.

The video, which clocks in at a relatively brief 20 seconds, shows the player hopping over a small river (which seems to replicate Hyrule Castle’s moat) as they enter the gardens similarly to how Link does in the game. From here, every section throughout the garden is shockingly accurate, with thehedge formationsall exactly replicating those found throughoutOcarina’slengthy stealth section. While there are naturally no guards like in the original level, everything else is exactly as it was envisioned in Nintendo’s classic game.
The Twitter user even took the time to add in the game’s signature rupees, which are placed around a giant rock in the third section of the garden exactly as they were in the original game. Eventually, the player reaches the end of the lengthy gardens section, hilariously adding in a surprise for viewers. Waiting at the tail-end of the path is a player dressed as Zelda, who’s garden has been expertly recreated withNew Horizons’tools. Much like herOcarina of Timeequivalent, she gasps when the player arrives, clearly paying homage to the first interaction between Zelda and Link in the classic game.
It’s a hilarious video that once again highlights the vast possibilities that emerge fromNew Horizon’ssurprisingly multifaceted toolset, joining a large number of publicly sharedZelda-inspired creationsthat have garnered wide internet acclaim. Another player recently modeled their town to replicateThe Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past’smap, while another player created a fairy fountain out of carefully placed waterfalls.
