The video shows theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers surrounding island residents and smacking them with bug catching nets.

ThisAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscult is just the latest creepy thing players have done in the game. Others have taken to making theirAnimal Crossinghomes look like a murder scene, whereas others still have been recreating scenes from actual horror movies. This includesMidsommarandThe Shining, along with the Academy Award nominated horror movieThe Lighthouse.
Later in the year, it’s likely that Nintendo will add official horror-themed content toAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, though it will still be family-friendly. After all,Animal Crossingcelebrates holidays, like theongoing Bunny Day event, and so a Halloween event is most likely in the works as well. Fans will have to wait until October to find out more, however.
