These are periodically released and focus on a certain individual or group within the larger universe, giving fans more details and information on who these characters are and what their motivations are for taking part in the Apex Games. The latest story focuses on Mara Contreras who goes by the name Vantage, raised on a barren ice planet called Pagos and trained in the ways of survival out in the unforgiving wilderness.
The latest animatedStories from the Outlands trailerdetails Mara coming across a downed ship called the G.D.S. Vantage and attempting to pry knowledge of the wreckage from her mother, Xenia. With her mother unwilling to reveal any details, Mara enters the ship on her own discovering both technology and the fact that her mother wasn’t actually born on the planet and was once a prisoner aboard the ship. As the ship’s computers mistake Mara for that of her Mother, she narrowly escapes the crumbling ship alongside her new animal companion Echo.
Respawn has promised more information on both Season 14: Hunted and the new hero Vantage prior to the launch of the latest update. Fans can already glean a few potential abilities through what appears to be a scanner device, being proficient with sniper weapons, as well as her companion Echo. Ultimately, the reveal of Vantage aligns with a massive leak that occurred earlier in the year.Nine newApex Legendscharacters were revealedwhich did include now confirmed characters like Newcastle, and Vantage.
