Every now and then,Apex Legendswill host a limited-time event centered around one of its distinct playable characters, and now the latest changes to the game’s code suggests that the next ofApex’sTown Takeover eventscould be taking place within the month and be centered around Bloodhound.

While Respawn Entertainment has been quiet on the matter ofApex’s next character-centric event, there have been signs that this will be the case for a while, as Bloodhound’s Town Takeover has been spotted in the game’s base code for a while. However, with the release ofApex’s recent System Override update, whichmade a noticeable change to Bloodhound’s tactical ability, dataminers have uncovered new files that suggest that Respawn will begin teasing the Takeover in-game on Tuesday, March 31.

If the previous Takeovers are any indication, these teasers will most likely take the form of a work zone temporarily closing off a specific part of the map. This will then lead to a new, permanent addition to the map, like the Gauntlet added duringOctane’s Town Takeoverand the Singh Labs facility that Wraith’s Takeover introduced. These usually came around a week after the work zones appeared in-game, which suggests that whatever new point of interest is introduced with Bloodhound’s Takeover will likely debut on the following Tuesday, April 7.

As for where the new POI will be located, that remains a mystery for the time being. It’s possible that the next Takeover will focus on World’s Edge, which has only played host toApex’s holiday-themed Mirage event, yet many feel Kings Canyon, with its fairly empty Swamps and Wetlands, would be a better fit for a new location tied to Bloodhound’s lore and tracker-based characterization. Add to that another piece of newly-discovered code, “canyonlands_MU2_CommonMapInit”, and it looks like Kings Canyon (which has been marked as “MU0” and “MU1” up until now) could very well be seeing another big Takeover-style change in the near future.

What isn’t likely is Respawn commenting on these leaks, as the developer has never spoken up about previous leaks regarding previous Town Takeovers. So unless new leaks happen to show up in the next few weeks,Apex Legendsplayers probably won’t get any new information until the teasers show up in-game on March 31, assuming the leaks so far are legit.
