While fans ofBatmanmay be waiting for a few years to see the hero return on the big screen, his next feature debut is actually due to arrive much sooner. Currently, theDCU’s Batman story,The Brave and the Bold, is without a release date as James Gunn waits to greenlight the right script.
Meanwhile,The Batman Part IIfrom director Matt Reeves is still years out with a 2027 release date. However, this is not to say that the character won’t be arriving in any other projects along the way, as one impending 2025 film proves.

Batman’s Next Movie Is Currently Weeks Away
The next upcoming Batman movie is due to debut in the US on August 08, 2025, meaning it’s currently just six short weeks away from releasing.
Aztec Batman: Clash of Empiresis a unique take on the characterwhich focuses on the ancient Aztec empire and follows a young man named Yohualli Coatl who dons the iconic cowl.This story is a departure from the traditional Bruce Wayne and Gotham formula for the character, but it also has a lot in common with the familiar concept.

Yohualli loses his father in a brutal murder, and seeks to train himself to become a dark avenger. He prepares to liberate his people from the threat of Spanish invaders, whileseveral familiar faces draw connections to the well-known Batman stories.
Batman Has A Lot Of Movies On The Way In The Next Few Years
Aztec Batmanis not the only release about the Dark Knight on the horizon, as there are a handful of otherBatmanprojects on the way that will expand the world of Gotham. The next of these films isClayface, which will feature an iconic Batman rivalas soon as 2026 in a DCU feature film that is now in the early stages of production.
The Batman Part IIwill debut in cinemas in 2027, expanding Matt Reeves' compelling Batverse as it exists in the Elseworlds. This could also tie in with further seasons ofThe Penguin, though it’s unclear if the show set in the same universe will continue, and if there will be any other spinoffs.

There is alsonews of aDynamic Duomoviedue to come out in 2028, which will focus on Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, two of Batman’s trusted allies who took on the role of Robin.
Beyond this, there are other animated projects on the way, includingBatman: Caped Crusaderseason 2, and likely more crossover with Batman characters inCreature Commandosseason 2, after the first season featured characters like Clayface and Doctor Phosphorus. Evidently, there is a lot to come fromBatmanover the next few years, both on the big and small screens.
