Big Brother’smost recently evicted houseguest, Adrian Rocha, opened up about his time in the game and shared that one jaw-dropping strategy wasn’t originally something he’d plannedgoing into the house. Adrian, who joinedBig Brother27as a long-time fan of the show, hoped that his knowledge of the game would help him through the difficult summer-long strategic competition.
While Adrian spent the majority of his time in theBig Brotherhouse admonishing liars for their gameplay, he shared that honesty wasn’t necessarily something he wanted to tap into going into the house.“Honesty…wasn’t part of the plan,“Adrian revealed to Screen Rant. He explained that after the first week of competition, the house perception of him was that he was honest.

Despite not necessarily wanting to play a completely honest game, his fellow houseguests wanted to work with him because of that honesty. This mean it was"a little too late for me to lie"within the game. Adrian’s strategy, which ultimately led him to allies like Kelley Jorgensen and Keanu Soto who have both lied consistently, didn’t pan out in the end.
What Big Brother’s Adrian Revealing Honest Gameplay Wasn’t Planned Means
His Persona Was Built Around His Honesty
Although Adrian said he would go back and play an honest gameif he could return toBig Brother, the fact thathis main strategy wasn’t planned going into the house is interesting. Adrian spent the majority of his time in the house talking about how much he hated liars, but playing like one would’ve been better for his game.
Adrian’s issues in the game were less about his time spent being critical of liars and, instead, surrounded the people that he was aligned with. While he talked game with very few people in the house,Adrian was upfront about the fact that he was looking to play an honest game with honest people. This limited his pool of players, even if he didn’t know it.

Knowing that Adrian came into the game believing he may not play an honest game is surprising in a few ways, primarily because of how adamant he was about disliking liars. As aBig Brotherfan, Adrian seemed to understand that compromising his morals was the best option, butputting that into practice was likely too difficult to managefor the young player.
Our Take On Adrian’s Big Brother Strategy
Playing An Honest Game Isn’t Helping Anyone Win Big Brother
While Adrian’s attempt to play a wholesome, honest game are commendable,Big Brotheris a game where lying typically gets you further than being honest.Adrian’s choice to align with houseguests who weren’t good for his strategy, namely Kelley and Keanu, made it clear that he was open to working with people who weren’t inherently honest. This often rubbed other houseguests the wrong way.
ThoughAdrian came into theBig Brotherhousesaying he was a long-time fan, it was clear from the start that it was tougher than he expected navigating the house socially. Throughout the season,Adrian found himself on the wrong side of votes, struggling to make connections, and valuing honesty above gameplay. Unfortunately, his solid moral code hurt hisBig Brothergame.
