The MCU’s new and upgradedBlack Panthersuit could be a game-changer forAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warsif oneMarvelmovie theory holds true. With Shuri having been confirmed as part of theAvengers: Doomsdaycastin March 2025, it’s clear the MCU will have its current Black Panther feature in the next chapters of its story.

However, the MCU timelinedid also recently introduce a new Black Panther, and one whose existence is also focused around protecting both Wakanda and the main universe’s Earth, more broadly speaking. As such, it’s possible the franchise could decide to bring them back into the fray once more within theMCU’s upcoming moviestories.

The Black Panther from the future in Eyes of Wakanda

The MCU’s Most Powerful Black Panther Suit Yet Appeared In 2025

The MCU has already showed off some powerful Black Panther suits, with both T’Challa and Shuri demonstrating the battle potential of the costumes they donned in the franchise. However,2025 unveiled the most high-tech of these suits to be in the main MCU timeline yet, via a version of Black Panther who travels back in timeto save the day.

Anika Noni Rose’s Black Panther appears in 1896 AD, having traveled back 500 years in order to prevent Earth’s downfall - namely, by ensuring the Vibranium weapon that Killmonger would steal inBlack Pantheris in place, and that Wakanda can thus be revealed to the rest of the world, and stand against the future alien threat of The Horde together.

Eyes Of Wakanda’s Black Panther suit is by far the most advanced Black Panther suit within the main timeline. This is in terms of its battle capabilities, and in terms of it seemingly being fitted with a capability that can show protagonists Prince Tafari and his mentor Kuda a vision of this future dystopia to warn them about their actions.

While theEyes of Wakandafinaleshows a lot of the interesting features of the suit off, the story doesn’t focus on this, since the impending destruction of Earth if Tafari and Kuda don’t listen is understandably more the focal point of this chapter of the story. That said, the suit and its wearer raise some fascinating possibilities for the MCU’s future.

Eyes Of Wakanda’s Black Panther Suit Would Make Perfect Sense For Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars

It’s clearAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warswill be featuring plenty of heroes from different corners of Marvel’s movie history. Not only are a selection of different MCU heroes confirmed to appear inAvengers: Doomsday’s cast, several Fox X-Men actors are set to reprise their roles in the movie, too.

With this backdrop in mind - and withAvengers: Secret Warsno doubt hoping to replicate some of the immense spectacle ofAvengers: Endgame- it stands to reason drawing on figures likeEyes Of Wakanda’s futuristic Black Panther would be par for the course.

Indeed, there are two ways this could be possible - either by having the same character appear from the future to deal with another threat, or by giving a different reality this Black Panther as its “current” hero.

With the story ofDoomsdayandSecret Warsfocusing on the Avengers and Fantastic Four, this would be a great way to put focus on the Black Panther mythos, and to give Shuri a significant moment by showing her the prospective future of the hero mantle. Even ignoring this, though, there are plenty of reasons this is a good idea.

The MCU Needs To Show Off Its Most Advanced Black Panther Suit Yet

With the likes of Magneto, Professor X, Doctor Doom and Franklin Richards all set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, it would make sense to bring in more powerful Marvel characters alongside them for the mutiversal frays that will no doubt unfold in both DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars.

A Black Panther with time-travel abilities and a suit that embodies centuries of advanced Wakandan technological advancement would certainly qualify in this regard. That approach could also be the franchise’s easiest way to write off its Kang story and the prior build-up to Kang beingAvengers 5’s villain, too, following Doom becoming the fifth Avengers movie’s villain instead.

The loose plot thread of the currently alive Council of Kangs could be tied up via revealing that the likes ofEyes of Wakanda’s Black Panther once again fought to protect Earth and the timeline alongside other heroes off-screen. This would be a relatively easy way to course correct, while additionally further justifying another Black Panther appearing in the films.

Taking this route could also help bring the MCU and its wider timeline closer together, which would provide some additional benefits in a period of time where the franchise has felt less closely intertwined - while also working in a way that doesn’t require viewers to have seen or even be aware ofEyes of Wakandaitself.

Avengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars' debut are still a long way off, with several different MCU releases on the way between then and now. However, this in some ways just makes the prospect of their stories all the more exciting, since there’s plenty of room for more concepts like theBlack Panthertheory to develop in that time.
