PerToday, (viaVariety), Odenkirk revealed his love for the character and the part that “turned my life around,” praisingBetter Call Saulco-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould as some of the best-ever TV writers. He went on to state that if they were to think of a sequel idea, he would certainly return to his most famous role.

That part turned my life around, and I’ve given more to that part than anything I’ve done. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV.

So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it. I think they’ve all moved on to some more amazing projects that you’ll soon see. He’s not getting out [of prison]. If there’s another Saul show, it takes place inside prison.
What This Means For A Better Call Saul Sequel
Throughout the show’s run, Saul’s criminal activities brought him closer and closer to being caught, when his past eventually caught up with him.Better Call Saulseason 6revealed that he had been sentenced to 86 years in prison for his crimes inBreaking Bad, but Odenkirk doesn’t believe this is a barrier to a sequel show.
While there is no guarantee that aBetter Call Saulsequel or revival should or will happen, Odenkirk’s comments suggest he would reprise his role, given the opportunity. While there are plenty of directionsBetter Call Saulseason 7 could have taken, Odenkirk recently stated he was fine withmoving on from Saul Goodman and Jimmy McGill.

Better Call Saulset a record for the most-nominated show never to win a Primetime Emmy Award, with 53 nominations.
As Odenkirk states, for a sequel show to happen, it would have to take place in prison, and there’s scope to make this work, given Saul’s criminal underworld connections. It would be intriguing to see what direction a sequel show might take if Gould and Gilligan are keen.
