The MCU Has No Shortage Of Roles

Given the wide-reaching status of the MCU, Ehrenreich and Ford are not the firstStar Warsactors to have appeared in the franchise. Nonetheless, their coincidental debuts in the same year raise the question of whether any otherStar Warsactors will make their way over to Marvel. For instance, John Boyega has been rumored for an MCU role for a while.

Many have campaigned for Boyega, who played Finn in theStar Warssequel trilogy, to become a member of the MCU. Some thought Boyega could have been the actor chosen to play Kang the Conqueror afterJonathan Majors' assault charges, but it seems Marvel went in another direction by pivoting to Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.

Since then, Boyega has commented that he wouldn’t mind playing Bishop, a mutant who will likely be involved inMarvel’s upcomingX-Menmovie. Nothing is confirmed, but this would be a great casting decision. Another rumor versed solely in speculation is an MCU role for Ryan Gosling, who is set to appear in 2027’sStar Wars: Starfighter.

It has long been rumored that Gosling is in talks to portray Johnny Blaze, also known as Ghost Rider. Whether either of these casting choices happens or not remains to be seen, but Gosling and Boyega could be greatStar Warsadditions to the MCU after Alden Ehrenreich and Harrison Ford in 2025.
