Recently, there has been a lot of doubt regarding whether the anti-cheating technology ofCall of Duty: Warzone 2actually works or not. A majority of the players, from professional gamers to Twitch streamers, revealed their frustrations on Reddit. There have been rumors spreading around the discussion board about a potential in-game exploit being used by some players that may appear to bewall-hacking inWarzone 2.

ACall of Duty: Warzone 2player named BloodyMakarov69 uploaded an intense battle clip with a Twitch streamer on Reddit. The player located the streamer and could see his ping even after the streamer threw a smoke. After killing the streamer through the smoke, the Twitch streamer agitatedly accused the player of cheating and said, ‘‘I’m playing against cheaters, dude, I am playing against cheaters, no wonder why I can’t do well.’’
Upon seeing the Twitch clip and getting accused of being a cheater, the player took to Reddit to prove his innocence. The player further shared an idea that if the developers of the game add a new feature where players can see that they were actually spotted and their ping stays for a few more seconds, then it could solve the false accusation problem. At times, it can be difficult to tell who is a skilled veteran andwho is cheating in fast-paced battle royale games. If the developers decide to implement this idea, it will allow players to see that they were killed because it showed the ping of their last location. Furthermore, it would debunk false reports of hacking by demonstrating that the player who killed another player did so legitimately.
It remains to be seen whetherCall of Duty: Warzone 2will include this or any other similar features. However, the idea of providing more transparency to players about how they were defeated and reducing false reports of hacking is a positive step toward a more fair and enjoyable gaming experience for the player base.
