Chris Pratt’s new prequel series,The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, premiereson Prime Video on July 21, 2025, and the beloved actor has just revealed that more spin-offs ofThe Terminal Listmay be on the way. The first season ofThe Terminal List, which is adapted from a novel of the same name by Jack Carr, was released on August 18, 2025.
The Terminal Listseason 1 was a huge hit with audiences, garnering a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, but critics snubbed it, making it anunderrated show on Prime Video. The series follows Pratt as a Navy SEAL who seeks vengeance for his slain family. The Terminal List: Dark Wolfwill follow Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch. Both Kitsch and Pratt serve as executive producers onDark Wolf.

During an exclusive interview withScreenRant’s Liam Crowley, Pratt explained how he is ready to dive into new stories revolving around the characters inThe Terminal List, and that there are tons of ideas floating around based on Jack Carr’s bibliography. During the interview, Kitsch also discussed how Pratt is the heart and soul of the project. Check out both actors' comments below:
ScreenRant: “Chris, I know we’re in the middle of Terminal List season two production right now. Does telling a story like Dark Wolf, does that excite you as a producer, as a series lead, to potentially explore more characters, more timelines?”

Chris Pratt: “Of course.”
Taylor Kitsch: “I mean, honestly, we wouldn’t be here for Dark Wolf if it wasn’t Chris’s passion for this whole project. Literally, we were walking around, and we’re just so proud of this that we built it up and his vision and his trust in me to take the swing and lead it. And we’re literally in tears last night, going to open the show at the premiere, man. It takes a lot of f–king work. One to get a show going, two for it to turn out like this. And we’re just so f–king proud of it. And that’s incredible. I’m proud of him and vice versa. And we just keep swinging.”

Chris Pratt: “And the team that we put together, it really is team television. David DiGilio is our showrunner. We have multiple veterans, five to seven episodes written by veterans, 25 veterans on our staff in front of the camera, behind the camera, the EP team of Special Operators, Navy Seals, Army Rangers. Seeing these guys take their level of expertise, their work ethic and just their grit, what makes them the one percent of the one percent of hardcore motherf—-ers and bring it to the film and television world. And to see that catharsis, to see that their purpose is now not taking lives or defending their country, but rather telling stories. It’s a beautiful thing to see them express themselves through art. And then the result, because it’s authentic, it’s not driven by, ‘Oh, we sure hope that all audiences, all of America likes us, the whole world likes us. We’re trying to commercialize it and check every box.’ It’s like, ‘No, we’re writing this for special operators. If you don’t like it, we don’t give a s–t. We’re making it for these guys.’ And guess what, that authenticity, it’s been magnetic, it’s turned the show into something really special that does appeal to a lot more people than we probably even realize.
And to answer your question, I’m down to do this for a really long time. We’ve got tons of ideas for spinoffs, for various characters. Jack Carr’s an incredibly prolific author. He’s got seven books so far, an eighth book coming out called Cry Havoc based on Tom Reece, so there’s talk of doing a Cry Havoc series, there’s talk of doing more Dark Wolf, there’s talk of doing more The Terminal List. And I mean we just want to keep expanding the Jack Carr cinevision universe, tie ‘em all together and create something, because it’s unlike anything else on TV and I want to keep going.”
What This Means For The Terminal List’s Future
Since Chris Pratt stated that he wants to adapt several of Jack Carr’s novels to make a TV universe, it seems likely that audiences will be seeing plenty more content related toThe Terminal List. Season 2 ofThe Terminal Listis currently in production, and will most likely be released sometime in 2026.
The Terminal Listlead characters of James Reece and Ben Edwards have plenty of lore that can be explored. Since there is so much material to go through involving the characters and Pratt is so enthusiastic about more potential spin-off shows, it seems likely thatThe Terminal Listwill become a multiverse.
Our Take On Chris Pratt’s Interest In Continuing The Terminal List
Audiences loveThe Terminal List, which is a great show tobinge on Prime Video, so it seems like a perfectly good idea to keep producing spin-offs. With so much material surrounding these characters that is just waiting to be adapted, so there is no reason not to make as many more shows as possible.
Although it is important that the producers make sure that new stories are actually needed and to not let the franchise become a cash-grab. With that said,The Terminal Listis arguably one of thebest shows on Prime Video, so the more seasons and spin-offs likeThe Terminal List: Dark Wolfthe better.
