Oh yeah. I’ve been thinking about season 2. The truth is, you don’t want to get too far ahead, because the real world rears its head, and then you want to be able to be in the moment of what’s happening in the world when you’re doing a show like this. So I’ve definitely been thinking about plots for season 2, but I’m not past that.

What This Means For Countdown Season 2

Hass & Ackles Both Have A History Of Successful Shows

Haas has had an incredibly successful career on television. He has created long-running series, includingChicago Fire,Chicago P.D., andFBI: International. With his pedigree as a creator, writer, and producer,Countdownhas every chance of returning for future seasons. Ackles also has a long TV resume, appearing as Dean Winchester inSupernaturalfor fifteen seasons, and will return inThe Boysseason 5as Soldier Boy.

It would make sense for the streamer to want to continueCountdownfor season 2.

With bothHaas and Ackles having impressive TV careers,Countdownseems to be set up for future installments.Countdownalso shares similarities to other Prime Video shows likeReacherandCross, with their action-oriented premise. Given that Prime Video is behind the development of these other series, and especially with the resoundingsuccess ofReacher, it would make sense for the streamer to want to continueCountdownfor season 2.

Our Take On Haas' Comments

The Series Has A Chance To Connect With Viewers

Ackles hascomparedCountdowntoDie Hardfor being more than just a simple action premise. If Haas and Ackles can deliver an experience that stands out from other thriller series,Countdownhas a chance at returning for season 2. Haas not wanting to dive too deep into plotting season 2 makes sense until viewers get the chance to check out the new show. While the reception will be key to whetherCountdownis renewed, it has an impressive team behind it that should help bolster viewership.
