Of the members of the popular Triad inDC Comics, it’sWonder Womanthat remains one of the most iconic. Aside from being the only female member of this trio, Wonder Woman is also one of the most influentialDC Comicscharacters - of perhaps, the entirety of comic fandom - of all time. After all, this Justice League member is perhaps the easiest to recognize among female superheroes out there.

More than that, fans ofDC Comicsadmire Wonder Woman for her balance of compassion, tactical prowess, and hard logic - putting the best qualities of partners Batman and Superman in a way that’s the best of both worlds. However, in theDCMultiverse, some versions of Wonder Woman use her abilities for nefarious means - sometimes doing the outright terrifying.

10Lois Lane, Superwoman (Earth-3)

One of the most infamous versions of Wonder Woman that prevailed throughout the DC Multiverse would have to beLois Lane, Superwomanof Earth 3. An Amazoness like her original counterpart, her penchant for violence and aggression earned her a place as one of the most vicious members of the Crime Syndicate of America. Not only that, her innate cunning had her in tangled relationships with Ultraman (a Superman counterpart), Owlman (a Batman counterpart), anda heroic Lex Luthor- all for her benefit.

She possesses all the powers of her original counterpart, including a Lasso of Submission capable of forcing others to do her bidding. Such is her cunning and tactical prowess that she’s managed to survive the destruction of the multiverse through and through, and is powerful enough to remain a member of various villain groups across the years, with her mercilessness not fading one bit.

9Donna Troy (Earth-3)

An interesting development in recent events had transformed the current DC Multiverse that surprised even its older denizens, with Lois Lane Superwoman recently discovering that her role as an Amazon has been “usurped” by anotherSuperwoman - Donna Troy of Earth-3.

In this reality, Donna Troy wasraised as an Amazonuntil she fell in love with Steve Trevor, who was revealed to be a spy. When he threatened Donna Troy’s life in exchange for the Amazon’s aid in World War 2, Queen Hippolyta simply allowed him to take her, considering Donna even allowing her capture as a weakness. This becomes Donna’s “shoot the dog” moment, killing Steve Trevor as a demonstration of strength, and with this act serving as her coming of age. She dreams of gathering enough strength to kill Hippolyta and take Themyscira for herself - following her mother’s philosophy of pure strength.

8Wonder Woman (Injustice)

Perhaps one of the most recent and one of the most ruthless incarnations of Wonder Woman ever to become terrifying isInjustice Wonder Woman. Already ruling Themyscira with an iron fist before the events of the game, Wonder Woman has taken advantage ofa vulnerable Superman in order to rule the world with much tyranny, showing no remorse when fighting both villains of the DC Universe and the Justice League to secure their rule.

Like her other incarnations, Injustice Wonder Woman possesses the same abilities as her original counterpart. However, this time around, Wonder Woman has no qualms using the full extent of her powers to outright murder her foes with deadly fatalities and superhuman feats.

7Diana Of Themyscira (Flashpoint)

Whenthe Flash “broke” the timelineby trying to save his mother, one of the resulting changes wasDiana of Themyscira, serving as its ruler after the death of her mother at the hands of the Atlantean Garth. Now waging a bitter war against the Atlanteans, Diana currently rules New Themyscira, which was once the United Kingdom prior to the invasion of Diana and her furies.

Changed by the death of her mother, this iteration of Diana not only possesses the same powers as her counterpart but also grew cold and merciless in the process. As a ruler, Diana isn’t only a specialist in diplomacy but is especially a master tactician. She has no qualms leading her troops to death if it means securing her victory.

Less evil and more cold and merciless out of necessity,Diana of Themyscira inDead Earthwas born throughout her endless conflict with Superman, which resulted in a devastating Earth. Now left to defend an Earth that’s practically a wasteland, she’s all that’s left between what’s left of humanity and the Haedra threat.

Wonder Woman Flashpoint

While possessing most of her powers from her original counterpart, this version of Wonder Woman ispractically immortaland even possesses the powers of electrokinesis. Unfortunately, her nigh-endless battle with Superman and seeing all those devastated lives in their wake left her broken - now cold and miserable, Diana only functions to defend the Earth. When a Wonder Woman knows nothing but battle, facing her will make her outright terrifying.

5Brunhilde (Earth-10)

In one of the many storylines of52,Brunhilde of Earth-10became the strongest Valkyrie of a Nazi-dominated universe. Having aidedthe Nazis during World War 2as part of the Valkyries (as opposed to the Amazons), it was Brunhilde that helped secure other countries for the Reich. As such, Brunhilde may have grown up believing in fascist ideologies.

While Brunhilde became one of the recruits for the Monarch after being defeated by the powerful Forerunner, this does cement the capabilities of Brunhilde as a warrior. Considering that the Forerunner is one of the Monitor’s personal combatants, Brunhilde not only has Wonder Woman’s capabilities but has honed them to such an extent that she can stand toe to toe against a nigh-universal-level threat.

4Wonder Woman (Whom Gods Destroy)

In the miniseriesWhom Gods Destroy, the Third Reich still reigns supreme and the rest of Europe is currently being ruled by the Nazis. When Lana Lang is kidnapped by the Nazis, Superman and Lois Lane head to Germany to save Clark’s childhood friend. In the ensuing battle involving Greek Gods, a dying Athena endowed Lois with her powers, transforming her into a new Wonder Woman.

The “new” terminology is important, as the formerWonder Woman inWhom Gods Destroyis actually a defector, having betrayed the rest of the world to join the Nazis in their cause. While not a lot is known about her whereabouts and exploits, the fact that the Nazis somehow convinced her to join them meant something inside Wonder Woman snapped and somehow had her sympathize with their cause. Not only that, the fact that a goddess herself had to endow Lois with her power meant the formerWonder Woman remains divinely empoweredlike her original counterpart.

3Diana Of Themyscira (DCeased)

In the horrific universe ofDCeased, an accident had Darkseid create a corrupted version of the Anti-Life Equation, transforming it into a techno-organic virus that simply wished to “spread Anti-Life” to the rest of the cosmos. While resembling zombies, these Anti-Living aren’t necessarily dead, but rather simply wish to spread Anti-Life. Moreover, while lacking intellect, they can still use their skill sets in surprisingly-deadly means.

This is what makesDiana of Themyscira inDCeasedquite a deadly foe, particularly for her capabilities. She retains hersuperhuman Amazonian physiology, as well as her immense capabilities in terms of weapons specialization and swordsmanship. Even deadlier is how she’s still capable of using her various equipment, such as the Bracelets of Submission, the Lasso of Truth, and the Sword of Athena.

Brunhilde Wonder Woman

2Bizarra (Bizarroverse)

One of the more bizarre (no pun intended) iterations of Wonder Woman,Bizarra of Bizarroverseis the Wonder Woman of Earth-29 in this fractured reality. Given how its unique laws of physics have led to the rise of Bizarros, the original Bizarro recruited Bizarra as a part of his Unjustice League of Unamerica and dragged her alongside other members to rather peculiar adventures.

While Bizarra possessesexactly the same powers as Wonder Woman, her rather lack of structured intelligence means Bizarra lacks the same tactical prowess as her counterpart. This makes her prone to being duped and unable to stand up to intellectual standoffs, something Bizarra proves to be futile in the face of a strong punch.

Wonder Woman Whom Gods Destroy

1Dane Of Elysium (Earth-11)

A male counterpart of Wonder Woman actually exists in the form ofDane of Elysium, who resides on Earth-11. In this particular timeline, Dane of Elysium was exiled from “Woman’s World” after killingMaxwell Lordlive for his evil deeds after Lord controlled Superwoman while doing nefarious acts. After his banishment, Dane rallied his Amazons of Elysium to wage war against the United States, facing the Justice League, Freedom Fighters, and the Atlantean Army.

Perhaps what’s intense about Dane of Elysium’s powers is that, on top of Wonder Woman’s skill set, he can actually summon Greek Titans in the form of Hyperion and Phoebus. It took the efforts of both Superwoman and Atom to finally defeat Dane of Elysium.
