InJustice League: Dark Tomorrow Special #1by Mark Waid, Marc Guggenheim, and Cian Tormey, shadowy monsters known as Omega Demons are killing time travelers such as Extant and Waverider. A mysterious hero named Legend consults withthe Justice League andgathers several recently time-displaced heroes together to explore the source of the Omega Demons.
The ragtag team discovers that the Omega Demons are being mass-produced in the Vanishing Point outside time and space. They travel there and see theOmega Demons’ creation is being overseen by Shadow Lass, at least,her Darkseid Legion doppelganger. The team destroys the tower that makes Omega Demons, but Shadow Lass manages to get away in the battle.

Darkseid is Taking Advantage of the DCU’s Weakened State to Kill Time Travelers
The Darkseid Legion was formed by the cosmic despot after his physical body was destroyed, sending his Omega Energy scattering throughout the DCU, largely settling on what’s become known as the Absolute Universe. This world has been shaped by Darkseid’s ideals to the point that its future and its greatest heroes, the Legion of Super-Heroes, take after Darkseid.
Darkseid has been growing stronger in the Absolute Universe and now he’s making moves to really hurt the Prime DCU. With the timeline severely damaged, Darkseid is having enforcers like Shadow Lass ensure it remains brokenby having Omega Demons attack the timeline, and any heroes who are especially good at protecting it.

The heroes managed to stop Shadow Lass, but she got away and chances are, more Omega Demons are coming. Time is still broken and Darkseid is going to want to keep striking while the Prime DCU isn’t in its best condition. Hopefully, theDC Universe’sheroes have a plan in mind, because the Omega Demons aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
