Media Molecule’s upcoming PS4 sandbox titleDreams, which allows players to create and customize their own levels, has finally become available for beta users after a couple of years of delays, and players are already hard at work coming up with cool and creative ideas. One fan has since made an incredibly faithful replica of Konami’sno longer availableP.T.demo and, more recently, a couple of users have somehow managed to do the same thing forDead Space.

InDreams, players take control of an “imp” with either the regular controller or the PlayStation Move to interact with the game world and fill it with characters and items that the player makes themselves. While players are obviously encouraged to come up with their own ideas, it’s not that surprising to see recreations. What is surprising is how accurate recreations like theDead Spaceone are to the original source material.

While it’s obviously not the whole game and there’s only 30 seconds of footage, the feedback received shows how much care went into making this level look like it could be from aDead Spacetitle. However, it’s very unlikely that we’ll see this evolve into anything beyond these 30 seconds since the users responsible have broken the game’s NDA, which stated that users weren’t allowed to share any of their creations online. Plus, with it being an almost replica of an existing IP, there’s always the worry that lawyers could get involved.

Another thing to take away from all this is how much fans want to see a newDead Spacetitle, which sadly seems to be nothing more than a dream at this point since developer Visceral Studioswere shut down by EA.

Last year, fans were given a glimpse at whata potentialDead Space 4would have looked like, courtesy of an interview with the series' creative director, who described it as a non-linear survival experience that would have featured a brand new protagonist.
