Recently, a dedicatedPokemonfan showed off their love for the franchise by endeavoring to make crocheted versions of the pocket creatures, all 905 of them.

With The Pokemon Company continuously working onnew titles such asPokemon ScarletandViolet, the roster of pocket creatures also continues to grow. Currently, there are 905 Pokemon in the whole video game franchise, excluding the recently revealed three starters from the upcoming 9th generation. This gives fans a wide variation to choose their favorites from, whether their preferences lie in a Pokemon’s aesthetic looks, or their strength and moves in battle. Though Pokemon remain fictional, fans often use their imagination to create their own real-life versions of them.

On Reddit, hardcorePokemonfan pokemoncrochet shared a video slideshow of their crocheted versions of the pocket creatures. According to the post, the goal of the artist is to make one crafted piece of eachPokemon species found in the franchise, and so far they have already produced 503 out of the 905. With more than half of the largePokemonlineup already completed, pokemoncrochet has truly shown how dedicated they are to the fandom by accomplishing such an amazing task.

FellowPokemonfans were eager to praise pokemoncrochet, especially since they have already produced so many of the pocket creatures. According to the artist, they freehand crochet each piece, which means they do not use any patterns when designing a Pokemon. Pokemoncrochet also mentioned that they do share some tips on their Patreon site, in case any of the commenters would be interested in learning how to crochet their preferred Pokemon. When asked which is their favorite, pokemoncrochet mentioned that they often favor the projects they have recently completed, such as thePsychic type Pokemon Alakazam.

Given thatPokemonis adding more to the lineup onceScarletandVioletare released, pokemoncrochet will likely have to add the 9th Gen species into their project. Hopefully they keep their dedication up as fellow community members likely cannot wait to see them complete the whole Pokemon roster in crocheted form.
