FollowingSony’s E3 2017 PlayStation Media Showcase, Bungie took the liberty to unveil a ton of new information regardingDestiny 2. That information included the much demanded release date for the PC version of the upcoming sequel, which debuts on the platform after passing it over with the originalDestiny. PC gamers can expectDestiny 2to officially launch on October 24, just over a month and a half past its console launch date on September 6.

Pre-orders forDestiny 2on PC are already becoming available, including through Battle.net, Blizzard’s storefront. Recall that all copies ofDestiny 2on PC will be validated through the Battle.net storefront and Blizzard’s account system. That means that codes through other retailers will have to be redeemed via Battle.net. The Blizzard storefront appears to be offering allthree digital versions ofDestiny 2, including the Standard Edition, the bundle including the Expansion Pass, and the $99.99 Digital Deluxe Edition with additional DLC as a bonus.

PC players will also be pleased to discover that pre-orderingDestiny 2will come with the beta access, though like the platform’s release date, the beta is delayed as well. Those who pre-order will be able to participate in a PC-exclusivebeta planned for late August, with more details to be released in the weeks and months ahead. For comparison’s sake, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One betas will run for approximately 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 days respectively. The PC beta’s length may differ, depending on how much testingDestiny 2will need.

Destiny 2arrives on PC starting October 24, a delayed arrival compared to the September 6 release date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders for the PC version of the game are available starting today.
