Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas finally shared the details for its summerPeter Panupdate, Mysteries of Skull Rock, as well as what players can expect for the rest of 2025 witha brand-new Roadmap. Following up on what has already been an incredible year for updates, including both theAladdinandAlice in Wonderlandupdates, 2025 is shaping up to be one of the game’s best years yet.

Like previous ones, the 2025 Roadmap doesn’t reveal explicit details and is simply a teaser of what’s to come. However, with plenty of information still indicating which franchise will be the sole focus of each update, players can get a general idea of what is to be expected in terms of characters and a release period.

2025 Is Already A Major Year For DDV

Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan & More Have Made 2025 A Year To Remember

Kicking off the year with theTales of Agrabah update,Disney Dreamlight Valleyreceived what was arguably one of its most significant updates to date.Aladdin’s massive realm featured challenging puzzles, two new characters, and most importantly, new gimmicks. From there, spring brought Wonderland to the valley. Alice’s realm, which was the only one thus far to be entered through something other than the door in the castle, featured elaborate mazes, confusing riddles, Card Guard enemies, and some growing and shrinking.

With each update in 2025, the ideas have only gotten bigger and better, as Gameloft continuously works to offer something new to players while also listening to feedback for quality of life adjustments. With thearrival of Peter Pan in the valley, players are finally getting answers about Skull Rock, a previously unused portion of the island, but that’s not all. This next update will also featuresignificant changes to The Forgotten and your companions, allowing both of them to officially become friendsinDisney Dreamlight Valley.

As of June 18th, 2025,Disney Dreamlight Valleywill finally offer cross-save on PlayStation, making cross-progression and cross-play officially available across every platform.

While The Forgotten will operate like any other welcomedvillager inDisney Dreamlight Valley, companions will feature a shorter friendship path with unique features and rewards that have yet to be fully revealed. Speaking of companions, another major change coming toDisney Dreamlight Valleyis the ability to have some direct input.Gameloft is providing the opportunity to participate in a series of polls that will ultimately result in a new companion designed by and voted for by players,to be added to the game later this year.

Late Summer Will Focus On Inside Out

Get In Touch With Your Emotions This Summer

While the 2025 Roadmap doesn’t provide much in terms of details, it does give some pretty obvious clues. Since updates typically come with new Star Paths, this update is likely to go around August and serve as a somewhat smaller update. As for what is shown in the image hint for the update, we can seea version of Riley’s memory machinefromInside Outserving as what appearsto be a new TV design. This, along with the hint thatthis update will revolve around emotions, is a clear indication that the late summer update will focus onInside Out.

While there’s no confirmation as to who or how many characters will be part of this update, it’s safe to assume that it will not include all of them, at least for now, and be focused onInside Outrather thanInside Out 2. The most obvious choices, in that case, areJoy and Sadness, as they’re the two main focuses of the original film. Additionally, if you inspect closely, you may see a pair of glasses resting on the table, which is likely an indicator that, at the very least, Sadness is coming to the valley, since she’s the only one who wears them.

While it’s likely that no more than two characters will be introduced for the update, if that, the three remaining original emotions, Disgust, Fear, and Anger, will probably still be introduced at a later time. From there, the new emotions introduced inInside Out 2may be added as well. However, this likely wouldn’t be for a while, as there are currently no franchises inDisney Dreamlight Valleywith more than five characters in the game, unless you count Mickey and his friends.

Autumn May Bring Lumiere & Cogsworth To The Valley

Return To The Beauty & The Beast Realm To Help Some New Friends

As for the Fall update, there’s a much more obvious indication of what exactly players can expect fromDisney Dreamlight Valley. As indicated on the Roadmap, players will be returning to a familiar realm, which in this case is very clearlyBeauty & The Beast. PerDisney Dreamlight Valley’s announcement details, they’ve shared that players will be returning to the realm to “solve a magical mystery with an enchanting new duo,” which only leaves the two most obvious new character additions.

Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas also confirmed thatAutumn will feature a seasonal Star Path, so unlike last year’s somewhat disappointing The Night Show Star Path, we’re likely to see the return of a Halloween-themed one in 2025.

Suppose you look closely at the image shared for Autumn. In that case, you may noticea familiar-looking Candelabra on the table and a large grandfather clock in the background, clearly teasing that the new duo is none other thanLumiere and Cogsworth. While they haven’t officially confirmed it, with Gaston already in the game, we know it’s unlikely to be LeFou, since it says “duo.” And with no teapot in sight, that pretty much disqualifies Chip and Mrs. Potts as well.

Winter Will Finally Welcome Cinderella

The Long-Awaited Princess Finally Makes Her Valley Debut

As for the final big update for 2025,Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas finally opted to welcome a character that players have been anticipating for years.Initially shown in one of the game’s early launch trailers, Cinderella was confirmed from the beginning, but then went otherwise unmentioned. New characters continued to be announced and added, while players received no indication as to when they could expect Cinderella.

That being said, for a large portion of the main story, a pumpkin home sat mysteriously quiet in the Forgotten Lands, so many assumed that Cinderella would be tied to the main story and introduced as that progressed. However, when it turned out to be the Fairy Godmother instead, players were left even more confused. Now, however, if the teaser image is anything to go by,Cinderella will finally make her debut this Winter.

This hint is perhaps the most obvious of the three, asCinderella’s iconic baby blue carriage with a C on the door can be seen sitting at the base of a staircase. However, if you need a bit more convincing, then upon closer inspection, you can also see that there are two small pumpkins under the carriage, referencing the fact that Cinderella’s original carriage was made out of pumpkins that the Fairy Godmother transformed. Although it’s not the most jaw-dropping reveal, it will at least be interesting to see how Cinderella is implemented.

Being one of the remainingDisney Princesses still missing fromDDV, it would be strange if she didn’t receive a realm door in the Dreamlight Castle, especially since the only princesses not to have one were those introduced through expansions. That being said, since Cinderella’s iconic castle is one of the many Dream Styles that players can have for their home, it does make me wonder if perhapsCinderella might reside in the Dreamlight Castle itself.

Dream Styles are offered for other characters' homes as well, so it’s not a disqualifier, butgiven that Cinderella’s castle is somewhat synonymous with Disney’s branding, the developers may want to do something a bit more special for her. Regardless, it’s certain to be a momentous update for the valley and a great way to close out 2025. For now, however,Disney Dreamlight Valleystill has plenty more to come, including their annual showcase, which will presumably reveal the new expansion dropping in 2025, so keep an eye out for that this Fall as well.
