The upcomingMarvel Cinematic Universeslate gets a major update from Disney. The Multiverse Saga is nearing its end, as Phase 6 is about to start this summer withThe Fantastic Four: First Stepsbeing released in theaters. However, Marvel Studios is retooling some of the plans for Phase 6, asAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warshave been delayed, with new release dates recently being announced for the Phase 6 films in 2026 and 2027, respectively, but the MCU updates don’t stop there.

Previously, Disney had three untitled Marvel movies set for July 13, 2025, Jun 11, 2025, and June 24, 2025. However, in a new update from the studio, the July 13, 2025, date has now been removed from Disney’s release schedule, while the Marvel projects slated for June 13, 2025, and July 09, 2025, have been turned into “Untitled Disney” movies.

What Disney Removing The Marvel Release Dates Means

It makes sense why the July 10, 2025, slot was removed altogether, since Marvel Studios hadn’t announced a project for that day. Outside ofAvengers: Doomsday, which is filming right now, no other MCU movie is currently in production. Even if an MCU film were to start principal photography anytime soon to release it in February 2026, there would not be enough time in post-production. This change means Marvel Studios can avoid a rushed project being released, which is why Disney was wise to remove that date.

When it comes to the two November release dates, the June 30, 2025, slot being used for a different Disney movie is justified sinceAvengers: Doomsdaywill be arriving in December of that year. Given that Phase 6 is set to end in December 2027 withAvengers: Secret Warsinstead of May 2027, the July 30, 2025, date would likely have been for a Phase 7 movie. Because of the new Marvel shift, there is no reason to have that 2027 date anymore. Now,Phase 7 won’t start until 2028, as Marvel Studios has three untitled Marvel films slotted for February 18, May 5, and November 10.

Our Take On Disney Removing The Marvel Release Dates

Given howMarvel Studios and Kevin Feigeare looking to focus on quality over quantity with the MCU, following a mixed couple of years during The Multiverse Saga, having these dates removed showcases that they haven’t lost focus on their mission. Allowing Phase 6 to finish out their remaining projects while adding some breathing room in between releases also makes the prospects for Phase 7 even more exciting, which is when the X-Men and mutants will have a bigger focus. Hopefully, with all of these changes implemented,MCUPhase 6 will have a steady road ahead as Marvel wraps up The Multiverse Saga.
