Fall hasn’t even begun, but Disney is already on top of covering its anime lineup for October by revealing the exact date when its new anime adaptation,Twisted-Wonderland The Animation, is said to release. Based on the mobile game featuring characters inspired by the fairy tales everyone’s grown up with, the ‘twist’ spins classic villains into inspirational historical figures.
Earlier this year, Disney announced that it would be creating an anime based on theTwisted-Wonderlandmanga written by Yana Toboso. Since the latter inputs the player as the main character, Yana’s work reflects that concept by interchanging different ‘main characters’ every major book arc. The anime is looking to adapt the Book of Heartslabyul.

Along with a key visual for the anime,Disney’s Japan X account announcedthatTwisted-Wonderland the Animationwould be haunting their streaming platform on October 29th. New episodes will continue to drop every Wednesday for a total of 8 episodes covering Yuuken Enma’s introduction to the Night Raven College and the Book of Heartslabyul.
Disney+ has already greenlit three seasons ofTwisted-Wonderland the Animation, likely to include the Book of Savanaclaw and the Book of Octavinelle by Yana Toboso. Most excitingly, the Japanese voice actors from the game will be returning to their roles, giving the anime a familiar flair for fans. No news has mentioned an English dub as of this writing.

The Disney+ Anime Will Follow Yana Toboso’s Book of Heartslabyul
As mentioned previously, Yana’s manga will follow Yuuken into the heart of Night Raven College, a magical all-boys academy that trains young talents on a faraway island. ‘Yuu’ has been brought to the Isle of Sages by accident as it’s discovered he has no magic powers, but with no way back, he has to remain at the school.
Known for its troublesome collection of delinquent students who are up to no good, it takes little time at all for Yuu to get involved with problematic antics happening at Night Raven, starting first with the troublemaker Ace Trappola and the ‘honor student-hopeful’ Deuce Space. Their combined troubles get the attention of the strict rule-abider, Riddle Rosehearts, Heartslabyul’s Housewarden.
Something clearly isn’t right with the temperamental Riddle, but it’s just another cherry on top of an already chaotic tart that Yuu has to contend with in this new world.Twisted-Wonderland The Animationhopes to encapsulate this entire arc based on the Book of Heatslabyul, so don’t miss out when the first episode premieres on October 29th.
