A Great-Looking Game, But It’s A Shame It Missed Switch 2’s Launch

Mario Kart World Can Only Hold People For So Long

With all the praise and excitement aboutBananza, it nowretrospectively feels like a missed opportunityto have a game similar toSuper Mario Odysseyas a launch title for the Switch 2. Nintendo openly discussedits game release strategyfor the Switch 2’s first year, and now we’re seeing it in full force. The Switch 2’s launch was mostly third-party games and ports of existing games, with the only major new first-party game beingMario Kart World, and havingBananzathere too might have been even more exciting.

Still, Nintendo Switch 2 fans aren’t waiting very long from the console launch to play the game, asDonkey Kong Bananzareleases on July 17. From the fan reactions, it seems excitement for the game has skyrocketed, and hopefully, the final product gives Donkey Kong a glorious return to 3D after 26 years.
