Summary
The revelation ofCat Leaper’s true powersbrought in an entirely new narrative toEdens Zero, one that is imbued with notions such as time travel and parallel worlds. Rebecca’s Ether Gear was initially believed to be a mere speed boost of sorts, but it was later disclosed that her power also allows her to reverse time in dire situations. Unlike regular time reversal, Cat Leaper allows Rebecca to jump out of her current timeline and form an entirely new parallel world.
Since little was known about the true extent of this power, Rebecca believed that the new world is entirely identical to the previous one. However, this theory was later refuted asEdens Zerorevealed many changes in the new world, showcasing how drastic and far-reaching Cat Leaper’s impact is. The changes initially seemed minimal, but as the series progressed, viewers were acquainted with the drastic differences between World 29 and the new World 30.

The Formation of Timelines and Worlds
Master Noah was the firstindividual to realize such a power exists in this world, and it was possible only due to his own novel Ether Gear called Eye of God. Since his power acts similar to a perpetual GPS tracker, he was able to notice a discrepancy in Rebecca’s location. Experiencing several instances of the same phenomenon allowed him to discern the true power that Rebecca has, one that entails the formation of an entirely new world.
Master Noah was also able to decipher the total number of parallel worlds, with World 29 being the set world during Belial Gore’s infiltration. Rebecca had used Cat Leaper’s time reversal power 29 times already, without being aware of jumping into a parallel timeline that differed from her previous one. The first conscious use of Cat Leaper’s power to escapeDrakken Joe’s clutchesmarked the formation of World 30.

With Rebecca’s memory of the previous world intact, several changes in the new world could be observed, opening up a myriad of new questions and mysteries for Cat Leaper’s true workings. While these intricate workings are yet to be revealed, the series has acquainted viewers with many of these drastic changes and their overarching effects.
The Destruction of Edens One
In the current timeline, Shiki and the rest face thethreat of a corrupted Ziggyand the Four Dark Stars. However, World 29 was free of this imminent threat as the Edens One had met a horrific accident somewhere within the Sakura Cosmos. The accident resulted in the complete destruction of the Edens One, and Connor as the sole survivor.
In World 30, however, Edens One never met its tragic fate, which meant that Connor stayed aboard the ship and never teamed up with the Edens Zero crew. This difference between the two worlds is rather significant as these changes resulted in Ziggy becoming corrupted and the Four Dark Stars joining his ranks of villainy.

If the Edens One had met its original fate, Ziggy would have never been resuscitated and his lifeless body would haveremained on Planet Granbell. This may be the biggest overall difference between World 29 and World 30 as it accounts for a revival of a major character that has now turned into one of the series’ biggest antagonistic threats.
The Journey to Sun Jewel
Another discrepancy between the two worlds is the journey to Planet Sun Jewel. In World 29, a debris field forced Edens Zero to take a detour to Planet Sun Jewel, which extended their journey by a few days. Captain Connor was saved by Edens Zero during the same time as well. The debris field was a result of Edens One’s tragic accident, resulting in the ship’s complete destruction andConnor floating in space helplessly.

Edens One never underwent the accident in World 30, which is why a debris field wasn’t present on the crew’s journey to Sun Jewel. This reduced their journey to exactly one day, and Connor was no longer aboard the Edens Zero. These were the first changes Rebecca noticed after leaping into World 30, though she was unaware of what these changes meant in the grand scheme of things.
The Edens Zero’s Fate
The most obvious and major difference between the two Worlds is the fact that Shiki ceased to exist in World 29 after he was senselessly murdered by Drakken Joe. The rest of the crew was imprisoned andthe Four Shining Starswere dismantled, with Rebecca under constant surveillance in an effort to pinpoint the exact moment she awakened her Cat Leaper power.
Since World 30 was the very first time leap where Rebecca kept her previous memories intact, the new timeline was heavily in Edens Zero’s favor. Drakken Joe was defeated by Shiki and his entire syndicate was shut down. The Element 4 were also disbanded, and Belial Gore was put underthe Interstellar Union Army’ssupervision. Other minor changes such as Jinn’s appearance were also evident, though these don’t constitute anything substantial. As Edens Zero progresses, it’s likely that more discrepancies will be disclosed, revealing the overarching extent of Rebecca’s powers.
