What This Means For Emily In Paris Season 5
The international scope ofEmily in Parisseason 5is expanding with the inclusion of Venice. With Emily now serving as the head of Agence Grateau in Rome, this location in Italy will still be important, as will Paris, but Venice will also have a prominent role to play in the new season.
If the glamorous image of her on a boat in the canals is any indication, she will be well-suited to Venice. Despite the importance of Italy in the upcoming season, though, Emily will still be very connected to her French lifestyle, and she will have her hands full between work ideas backfiring and newfound heartbreak.
UnlikeEmily in Parisseason 4, which released its episodes in two parts, viewers will be able to watch the entirety of the new season on December 18. This marks a shift in the release for major Netflix shows, especially when others, includingWednesdayandStranger Things, are still releasing their episodes in increments.
Our Take On The Emily In Paris Season 5 New Location, Images, & Release
Emily in Paris' release plan is a welcome change of pace from season 4. In general, I don’t think releasing a season in parts works well. It often feels like an unsuccessful compromise of the weekly release and binge-watch models that contributes to pacing issues. Fortunately, this will not be a problem with season 5 debuting all episodes at once.
As for the story, the first-look images indicate that the show will continue to do what it has done best in the previous four seasons. The picturesque nature of Venice makes it a natural addition to the stylish story ofEmily in Paris, and it is the perfect location for more romance and adventure to ensue.
