The shonen genre in particular includes many protagonists with these characteristics, but strong characters are present in nearly every form of anime. These ten characters do not just possess normal levels of strength or muscles like the average person though, their brawn is almost beyond belief, and this is precisely why they are among the most unforgettable charactersin their series.

Naruto

With an ambitious dream of becoming the Hidden Leaf Village’s Hokage,Naruto captured fans' attention as he rose in power to become the mightiest shinobihis village had ever witnessed. In his arsenal, Naruto possesses a multitude of different skills that make him a more advanced combatant than most others in the series.

His Nine-Tailed Beast, Kurama, is one of his most significant providers of strength, and Naruto is also much faster than the average human, explaining the origin of the iconic arms back “Naruto run” he is known for. Some ofhis other noteworthy powers include Rasengan, chakra, cloning and transformation abilities, among so many other areas of expertise. Due to the sheer number of talents he has access to,Naruto is quite overpowered, and that only makes his scenes more entertaining to watch.

Known by the nickname Mob, Shigeo Kageyama’s powers are particularly volatile, because they hinge on his emotional state at the time. This unpredictably is both a blessing and a curse, because althoughMob can intentionally channel his inward feelingsinto his outward psychic attacks on spirits,if he reaches an emotional extreme, he can potentially lose his mastery over his powers.

When he is in control, which he is most of the time becausehe carefully regulates his emotions and employs them sparingly,Mob is a force to be reckoned with. There are plenty of psychics represented in anime, but because of the unique twist involving his personal sentiments as a power source, Mob is definitely one of the most overwhelmingly mighty.

My Hero Academia

InMy Hero Academia, there is not a villain alive who does not live in fear of All Might’s presence.Hundreds of Pro Heroes devote their lives to fighting crime, but none of them inspired as many civilians or sent as many villains cowering in terror as he has. Although he was once Quirkless, a spirit as valiant as All Might’s could not be hindered, and he was chosen as the wielder of humanity’s best Quirk,One For All.

All Might’s catchphrase, “I am here!,” flashy superhero uniform, and brawny muscles createan over-the-top image that repels villains and comforts the innocent members of societywho are desperate for a protector from evil. Even during battles when All Might seemingly should have lost, like when he took on All For One with only the dying embers of One For All still in his body, no one ever seems to halt this overpowered superhero for very long.

Demon Slayer

Yoriichi Tsugikuni is not just another demon slayer,he is the demon slayer that all the others originate from.He is also the inventor of Breathing Styles, which gave his successors a valuable tool that eventually led to the death of the most dangerous demon, Lord Muzan.

Not only was Yoriichi so deadly that he killed plenty of demons completely on his own,he almost vanquished Muzan.Only because he fled for his life did Muzan survive the encounter, and had it lasted even a minute longer, Yoriichi surely would have been the winner of the fight. Yoriichi was a threat to demons everywhere, and in his lifetime, he made a serious dent in the number of demons alive, fighting by himself, no less.

Attack on Titan

Eren Yeager was once just a seemingly normal boy, but overAttack on Titan’sfour seasons,he became the most powerful Titan humanity had ever witnessed, with the choice to wipe out the entire population if he so chose. Eren was so motivated by his desire to end the Titans' reign over humanity that he almost destroyed the entire world with his sheer power.

Eren not only had his own Attack Titan, hehad Ymir’s Founding Titan at his disposaland was also able to control an army of other Titansto do his bidding. It required the combined efforts of thousands of humans to take down Eren, and even then, their victory was hard-fought, so he is definitely one of the most overpowered fighters anime has ever seen.

Saitama’s entire role inOne Punch Manrevolves around him being overpowered, since he ends fights just as soon as they begin with one singular punch. All it takes for Saitama to win against any enemy in the world is one hit from his fist, and this simple but unbeatable ability means he is indestructible.

Saitama’s expertise at fighting brings many positives and negatives with it. Although it may seem like the coolest advantage in the world to be able to overcome anyone, no matter who it is, with one hit,Saitama’s ease of achieving success begins to cause him boredom.ThisOne Punch Manhero is so overpowered, he has grown apathetic because all his victories are pretty much guaranteed with little effort.

Jujutsu Kaisen

Gojo Satoru’s personality is often jovial and goofy, but make no mistake, raw power simmers underneath the surface of his laid-back facade. Fights with Cursed Spirits or humans alike never seem to cause Gojo much stress or exertion, because he has overconfidence in his own abilities, andhis self-assured attitude is not exactly misplaced, since he is the strongest sorcerer.

Skills such as Six Eyes and Limitless give Gojo the power to crush villains almost instantaneously. His death against Sukuna shook fans to the core because for so long he was considered to be the supreme character inJujutsu Kaisen.Gojo could still be described as overpowered, and is definitely among the top jujutsu sorcerers of all time, butletting his guard fall for a brief instant was Gojo’smost unlucky mistake.

Dragon Ball

Although it might not be obvious based on his cheerful, almost cartoonish appearance,no one in theDragon Balluniverse is more all powerful than Zeno.Zeno even gives the protagonist ofDragon Ball,Goku, a run for his money. Goku pulls off some extraordinary attacks in the series, and Zeno does not engage in combat, so he may not seem like the obvious choice forDragon Ball’smost overpowered hero.

Because he controls all ofDragon Ball’smultiverse,Zeno does not require any flashy attacks or transformations to accomplish his magic. If Zeno wishes to erase or create something or someone, he can do just that with relative simplicity, making traditional powers unnecessary and useless to him. Since he transcends traditional anime power systems, Zeno may just be the most overpowered anime hero of all time.
