Space Marine 2 Siege Mode Explained
Endless Horde Mode
Siege Mode is effectively the same as many other horde game types. It does not deviate from the rest ofSpace Marine 2’s PvE modes, only letting players team up in trios. You’ll be tasked with defending an Imperial fortress from waves of enemies, both Tyranid and Chaos forces.Space Marine 2’s Siege Mode is conceptually endless – the only way for the game to end is to die – and each wave will be stronger than the last.
Space Marine 2’s new game mode is sequestered to Kadaku, one of the three planets visited in the campaign and the PvE Operations. There is so far no word on if Siege Mode will come to other planets in a future update, though it’s certainly possible. Details are so far scarce, but it’s likely to make use of the same classes playable in PvE and PvP, though it’s unclear if Siege Mode will have its own progression systems. More information will be shared in the next Community Update, which are usually published on Focus Entertainment’s forum.

New Cosmetic DLC For Space Marine 2
White Scars & Blood Angels
A couple more Adeptus Astarteschapters are being spotlighted inSpace Marine 2with Patch 8:the White Scars and the Blood Angels. Both can be glimpsed briefly in the Siege Mode teaser trailer (above). As their names would imply, the White Scars don chalky white armor, while the Blood Angels sport a deep red coloring.
The new cosmetics are included in theSpace Marine 2Ultra Edition and Gold Edition, and come as part of the Season Pass. The White Scars Chapter Pack includes a Champion skin, this time for the Assault class. It also brings new weapon skins for the Occulus Bolt Carbine, Stalker Bolt Rifle, and Combat Knife. The Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack is a bit more conservative, with no Champion skin, nor any dedicated weapon skins – just new armor options for each class. Both will bring additional heraldry markings from their Successor Chapters.
Siege Mode is arguably the biggest addition toSpace Marine 2since it launched, and should be particularly well-suited to the game and its thorough use of the Swarm Engine.Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2had plenty going for it upon release, but it’s only grown since, and showing no signs of stopping.
