Nobody has more pressure on them to win a match inEvil Dead: The Gamethan the hunters. Supports and leaders have natural limitations in the form of cooldowns. And warriors will need to contribute to the damage, but only after the deadites have gotten in close.

When it comes to thinning out the horde of deadites, the biggest threat to survivors inEvil Dead: The Game, this is where the team depends on the hunter. Player talent is critical to success, of course, but even the best hunters can’t cut it if they haven’t identified the ideal skills to invest in.
10Tougher Than Hell
Nobody is going to mistake the hunter for a tank.Groups of friends that play togetherunderstand the role of each character and the hunter is the last person anybody wants in melee combat. That doesn’t mean that every scrape and bruise is avoidable, however. For these encounters, it is smart to invest just a bit into damage reduction, decreasing the likelihood that wayward hits will wipe them off of the map.
9Last Chance
Most of the skills available are incremental boosts; 5% here and 10% there. So when a skill offers an extra 30% damage, players on all platformscan’t simply look away. The catch is that it has to be on the final shot of every gun. But that’s not too hard to get to, especially since hunters should be firing almost non-stop in combat. Some weapons only have one blast per reload, so this becomes a direct 30% damage increase overall.
8Staying Power
The best supports in the gamewill likely have their hands full trying to keep the frontline combatants at full health. That means when the deadites swarm on the hunter, there probably won’t be a nice, handy heal ready. The hunters already have a boost to their stamina, so adding a skill that packs on more stamina assures they can for forever and dodge more than the usual twice.
7Artful Dodger
RELATED:Evil Dead The Game: Every Hunter, Ranked
In conjunction with Staying Power, hunters with Artful Dodger can dodge seemingly without limit. At the very least, they can dodge until escaping from the melee attackers, then shoot them at range before they close back in. It’s impossible to avoid melee attackers entirely in any given match, but this skill assures that these handful of moments aren’t anywhere in the realm of deadly.
6Deadly From A Distance
The best time to shoot deadites is when they haven’t gotten a chance to close the gap. From safety, the hunter gets a bonus to damage that can thin out many participants of an onslaught before they arrive. Beyond that, many bosses and objectives feature fights that are designed to be at a distance, which plays right into the hunter’s hands.
5Deadly Up Close
Targets don’t ask the hunter about the ideal range when they formulate a plan of attack. While it’d be nice of the deadites to line up evenly at a comfortable distance, opposing demons often place portals right in the center of the squad. Hordes of groups will also make it impossible to shoot them all down before they get in close. For these moments, stopping power is required. As a hunter, it’s better to shoot them down than to switch to a melee weapon after acquiring this skill.
4Divide And Conquer
Although the hunter doesn’t play a typical supporting role, they can help the entire team by de-fanging the deadites. Increasing the probability of ripping the arm off of an elite or equivalent target severely hampers their capabilities; sometimes to the point of total uselessness. Wasting the demon’s energy by ripping the arms off of their summons, the hunter will become everyone’s friend.
3Long Shot
RELATED:Evil Dead The Game: How To Beat The “Kill ‘Em All” Third Mission
The range on some guns is so small that they might as well be considered melee weapons. Hunters can’t do their main role effectively if they have to wait for targets to close the gap. All that time waiting for enemies to get in close enough is wasted. Thankfully, this initial skill can increase range by up to 50%. Thinking of the hunter’s danger zone as a circle, this just about doubles the area of effective coverage.

2Wig Splitter
Of course, with multiplicative damage from headshots, there is no reason for hunters to aim at any other part of the body. Since nearly all of their damage is going to go in the direction of the cranium, boosting damage that lands becomes a no-brainer (pun intended). For most enemies, this will shave an entire shot off of their total health.
1Hollow Points
If any class has a consensus best skill for them, it’s the hunters and Hollow Points. The class is tasked with the bulk of the ranged damage required. A skill that flatly increases ranged damage enhances the survivor’s ability to do what is asked. Melee warriors have their place in the party, but after hunters get this skill, they won’t stand a chance at competing on the damage charts, it’s just that powerful.
