Despite thePlayStation 5releasing this fall, there haven’t been many indicators from Sony surrounding what the console will look like or how it will be revealed. Aside from a tech-centered conference that drew a fair amount of controversy from fans due to its lack of a major console reveal, the PlayStation 5 has lacked any sort of real press or promotion outside of acontroller reveal last month.
However, it seems fans have taken matters into their own hands, with a video posted on VR4Player.fr’s YouTube channel imagining the reveal of the console through a supremely well-crafted concept trailer. Alongside showing off a rendition of the console, the spectacular proof of concept also highlights different color variations of thePlayStation 5, a series of games that would come to hardware, the design of their discs, and a look at a new variant of both the PlayStation Move and PSVR.

The concept trailer begins by showcasing a new PlayStation logo, with the current white on blue background design being replaced by a black on white variant. The trailer then uses the audio from Sony’s recent"Road To PlayStation 5" streamas a backdrop, alongside some suitably epic music. The trailer then sweeps over Vr3Player’s PlayStation 5 design, which is a much smaller and sleeker console than the PlayStation 4. It comes complete with some beautiful blue lights across the disc tray and over the power button, with the basic console sporting a white and black color scheme. The trailer then shows that the console can either lie flat or be stand up vertically.
All the while, the trailer shows off the games coming to the console, with flashes ofThe Last of Us 2, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, Kill Zone, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,andGhost of Tsushimaplaying. Alongside the basic console design, the concept trailer also shows off some variations of the basic console color scheme, showing an all-black version, a seeminglyKillzoneinspired chrome rendition, and aSpider-Manvariation sporting the superhero’s red aesthetic and logo. The trailer then goes on to show a version of PSVR and PlayStation Move seemingly inspired by the PlayStation 5’s new controller design, with both looking utterly stunning.
While it seems we still have a while to wait before we get to finally see the PlayStation 5 in all its glory, VR4Player’s take on the next-generation console makes that wait ever more agonizing.
