Most of the footage in the video has been taken from the first episode of the animated series’ third season, titled “The Sins of the Fathers, Chapter I: Doctor Strange.” The episode, which was released in 1996, showedPeter Parker teaming up with Doctor Strangeto fight Baron Mordo, a supervillain who has appeared in the Marvel comics, and rescue Mary Jane. It works perfectly, as Spider-Man will be seen teaming up with Doctor Strange inSpider-Man: No Way Homeas well.
Some of the other footage includes clips from the final episode in the series, “Spider-Wars Chapter II: Farewell, Spider-Man." This was the episode where Spider-Man was seen teaming up with multiple Spider-Men from other dimensions to fight Spider-Carnage. There is a rumor thatTobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will both be returningto reprise their role as Spider-Man from different dimensions or worlds inSpider-Man: No Way Home, considering the Multiverse has been activated. It is already confirmed that multiversal villains Doctor Octopus,Spider-Man 2’sAlfred Molina, and Electro,The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s Jamie Foxx, will be making an appearance.
TheSpider-Man: No WayHome trailer showed fans the aftermath of Parker’s secret identity being revealed in2019’sSpider-Man: Far From Home. After being arrested and interrogated for a crime that he didn’t commit, and facing backlash from the general public, Parker chooses to visit Doctor Strange and ask him to magically undo the events ofSpider-Man: Far From Home. Of course, things don’t go as planned and the multiversal madness ensues.
