Final Fantasy XIVfans should start marking their calendars for July 24, which is already confirmed to be a special date for the critically acclaimed MMORPG.The popular online game by Square Enix is currently going through the content released in March via Patch 7.2, and after a series of negative feedback, it’s expected that some big changes will occur soon. Game directorYoshi-P already admittedFFXIVis in decline, showing that the company is aware of its players’ dissatisfaction levels, which will likely prompt some updates to make the game better.
Compared to the previous expansions,Dawntrailand all its subsequent updates are being much more poorly received, with a lot of criticism directed at the impact of its story and the way content output is being managed. At the moment, it seems like a great idea to followYoshi-P’s advice of quittingFFXIV, at least temporarily. Even so, the future doesn’t look too bleak, as there is still hope for the next big patch.

The Next Letter From The Producer LIVE Is July 24
FFXIV’s Next Letter Will Address The Content Planned For Patch 7.3 - The Promise of Tomorrow
Indeed, it shouldn’t be too long before you get an idea of what to expect in the future. In an official post made on theLodestonewebsite,Square Enix announced that the next Letter from the Producer LIVE will occur on July 24 at 3:00 am PT. The post mentions that the starting time for the live event is subject to change. The presentation will be broadcast live on the officialYouTubeandTwitchchannels.
According to the post, the 88th Letter from the Producer LIVE will cover information regarding the Patch 7.3 update, also known as The Promise of Tomorrow. The update, which does not yet have an official release date, is expected to arrive in early August– and its release date could be revealed during the presentation. Furthermore, the Letter from the Producer LIVE will also discuss “miscellaneous updates,” which could be minor tweaks like the already-appliedmount changes forFinal Fantasy XIV.

What To Expect In FFXIV Patch 7.3
There Is A Lot Of Content Planned For The Future Update
Patch 7.3 will be a significant update for the MMORPG, based on Square’s previous reports. It’s expected that the patch will add the final Post-MSQ quests related to theDawntrailexpansion, thus bringing its main story to a conclusion, though, possibly, still leaving space for a connection to another future DLC.In Patch 7.3, you will also get access to The Meso Terminal, a new Dungeon, as well as Pilgrim’s Traverse, a new Deep Dungeon. Additionally, there will be a new Trial and the San d’Oria: The Second Walk Alliance Raid, the second part ofEchoes of Vana’diel inFFXIV.
You will also gain access to Allied Society Quests, in case you play with crafter jobs. New Manderville Quests are also being added with Patch 7.3, continuing the ludicrous string of missions revolving around Hildibrand. For hardcore players, you’ll be able to challenge the Unreal version of The Wreath of Snakes Trial from theStormbloodexpansion. The Treasure Dungeon Vault Oneiron is also making its debut in the upcoming update.
Aside from new content, per si,there will also be a series of adjustments to the game, like updates to PvP, Duty Support for A Realm Reborn’s Cutter’s Cry Dungeon, and even thecompatibility of Viera characters with hats inFFXIV, something that isn’t currently possible; this will also be true for Hrothgar characters.
Currently, not all headgear pieces are compatible with characters from these species.
Following Yoshi-P’s recent acknowledgment of the state of the game, I also expect that a few teasers about how the team is working on improving it moving forward will be presented during the 88th Letter from the Producer LIVE event. Surely, the game has reached an all-time low, but this doesn’t mean that players have simply stopped enjoyingFinal Fantasy XIValtogether; we’re just waiting for a good reason to come back and stay.
