Patch 6.3 forEndwalkerbrings many exciting features toFinal Fantasy 14, and completing the next chapter of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor is set to reward players with a stunning new outfit. The quests were designed with completionists in mind, as starting the Grand Endeavor requires completing the raid and trial story arcs of past expansions. Patch 6.2 introduced a chapter that revolved around the Heavensward alliance raid series, and awarded players with portraits featuring the Scions of the Seventh Dawn: themain cast of characters inFinal Fantasy 14.
This time around, the next chapter of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor revolves around The Four Lords storyline fromStormblood. Given that Tataru played a prominent role in theStormbloodtrials, it makes sense that Square Enix chose this particular arc for the new Grand Endeavor chapter. With The Omega Protocol being thenext Ultimate Raid forFinal Fantasy 14, it would seem that Patch 6.3 overall has aStormbloodtheme.

This theme is also reflected in Patch 6.3’s reward, as players can obtain a yukata inspired glamour from completing the new chapter of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor when the update drops on January 10. It’s unknown if players will be able to dye the ensemble, but manyFinal Fantasy 14fans are excited about the prospect of having more tattooed sets. The outfit is modular, and Square Enix has confirmed that female characters will get their own version as well.
The Tataru quests have thus far been rather easy to complete, providedFinal Fantasy 14players had all the prerequisites. The good news for fans who haven’t yet had a chance to do The Four Lords trial series inStormbloodis that the story arc itself is rather enjoyable and a breeze to complete compared to the lengthy Omega or Rabanastre raids. It features two dungeons and three trials, and it also unlocks an opportunity for players to obtain the kamuymounts inFinal Fantasy 14.
In addition to Tataru’s Grand Endeavor,Patch 6.3 forEndwalkerexpands on the Manderville questline as well. The Warrior of Light will finally be able to upgrade their relic weapon as they take on the Eorzean Gods in the new Alliance Raid of Euphrosyne, the second wing in the Myths of the Realm series. If rumors are to be believed, players will face more than just Nophica, Althyk, Halone, and Menphina in the new raid, as Nymeia is speculated to join Althyk during his boss encounter.
