Fortniteis adding new skins featuring Marvel’s Fantastic Four. The skins in the game are based on the team’s appearance in the upcoming film,The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which will introduce Marvel’s first family to the MCU. Each member of the team will get their own skin, as well as some unique traits related to their powers.
According to an announcement onTwitter,Fortnite’s Fantastic Four skins will be available June 22, 2025. From the short video showing off these skins, it appears as though they will also come with emotes showing off each team member’s unique powers. Fortnite Confirms Fantastic Four Arrive July 25th
The Fantastic Four: First Steps Is Coming Out On July 26, 2025
Fortnite’s new Fantastic Four skins arriving on Aug 13, 2025, is perfect timing, asit is just one day after the release date forThe Fantastic Four: First Steps. This means excited theater-goers won’t have to wait long to suit up as their favorite member of the team in the popular battle royale shooter. Although the timing is mostly perfect, this does pose a small risk toFortnite’s skin sales.
Right now, theinitial reactions toThe Fantastic Four: First Stepsare reportedly pretty good. If this holds true with general audiences when they get to see the film on July 24, thenFortnite’s timing will be perfect. That said, if the movie ends up following in the footsteps of each previousFantastic Fouradaptation, players might not be so keen to pick up the skins, andFortnitemay wish that they released them a bit earlier to cash in on the hype surrounding the film. We’ll have to see how the movie is received to determine either way.

Our Take: Fortnite’s Timing Is Perfect For The New MCU Film
The Fantastic Four: First Steps Will Likely Drive Skin Sales
Although it could go either way,I would guess thatFortnite’s timing on its Fantastic Four skins is going to work out in their favor. The MCU seems to have gained some of its lost momentum back with thesuccess ofThunderbolts*and long-time fans have been waiting for Marvel’s first family to finally get a good film adaptation. I am optimistic about the quality ofThe Fantastic Four: First Steps, and I am guessing it will excite audiences enough for some of them to want these new skins.
IfFortnite’s Fantastic Four skins have anything to worry about, it might be the Distinguished Competition, as Stan Lee used to say.DC’sSupermanmoviewas a fresh addition to the superhero movie landscape, and could possibly take some excitement away from the somewhat stale MCU. That said, movies likeGuardians of the Galaxy 3have shown that Marvel fatigue can be overcome by simply making a great movie, soThe Fantastic Four: First Steps, and its crossovers, will likely live or die based on how good the movie is.
