WhileSpider-Man: Miles Moraleswill soon be accompanying the originalMarvel’s Spider-Manto PC, many are still having a great time with the game on PlayStation consoles. For oneSpider-Man: Miles Moralesfan, though, a bug stopped them from swinging through the streets of New York.
Not only have players seenMiles Morales’ character model bugging outin the originalMarvel’s Spider-Man, but his standalone game has had its fair share of bugs as well. Perhaps the most prominent type of glitch was seen close to launch, as it saw the young hero transforming into random props from around the city. Though Miles is no longer becoming a brick or a streetlight, he does occasionally develop super speed or have some of his costumes bug out.

The latestSpider-Man: Miles Moralesglitchshared by a player has nothing to do with odd transformations or malfunctioning cosmetics, though, as it instead impacts swinging and traversal. A clip posted by Reddit user blue-sodaa shows Miles moving through the city, and it looks like some of the typical gameplay that fans have come to expect fromSpider-Man: Miles Morales. However, after about 10 seconds of swinging, the bug occurs.
Because the Redditor landed on the railing surrounding the subway train and not flat ground, Miles is seen entering a different animation before the player quickly jumps onto the train - possibly causing the bug. When attempting to run on its side and leap off to get some momentum, the player instead gets sucked into the moving train. From there, Miles has no choice but to continue riding through the streets ofNew York City, as the doors are all closed and the player is unable to escape. Considering that they could just fast travel to safety, though, this bug is ultimately harmless.
Many fans ofSpider-Man: Miles Moraleswere clearly interested in this clip, as the footage of this funny bug managed to bring in over 800 upvotes. In the comments section, Reddit user dat0neb0i was quick to praise Insomniac for its attention to detail. After all, the inside of the subway train is fully modeled despite players never actually stepping foot inside. While it could just be a leftover asset from the first game, it is cool to see regardless, and fans seem just as impressed as they were when they found out aboutPeter’s hidden web shooters.
Considering thatSpider-Man’s traversal abilitiesare some of the most iconic out of any superhero, it is funny to see Miles choosing to ride the subway instead of using them. While many bugs in video games can negatively impact the player experience, this one turned out to be a ton of fun for the player that encountered it and those who spotted the clip online.
Spider-Man: Miles Moralesis available now on PS4 and PS5. A PC version is in development.
