How To Get Blood, Sweat, and Tyr Trophy
In order to get the Blood, Sweat, and Tyr bronze trophy forGod of War RagnarokValhalla, players will need to Battle Tyr and win. Fighting Tyr is no easy task, but for those who want to get 100% completion forGod of War RagnarokValhalla, they are going to need to take the fight to Tyr and make sure that Kratos is victorious, and Tyr is the one that yields.
The following gameplay footage was recorded using the Show Me Prowess difficulty and features the Tyr boss fight after the fourth encounter, in which Tyr can use any weapon and an assortment of combos. This is Tyr at his most challenging, and the video showcases the strategy used to defeat him, mainly using the Leviathan Axe and its L1 + Triangle move.

Best Loadout To Beat Tyr
There are a few essential items that were used in the creation of this guide to beat Tyr without an issue. For clarity, this guide was created whilst using the Show Me Prowess difficulty, but players arefree to choose easier or harder difficultiesduring their playthrough ofGod of War RagnarokValhalla.
These are not a guarantee, as players may find other Runic Attacks during their time inValhalla, but aiming for these is a good idea.

Tyr First Fight
The first fight with Tyr will begin from the moment they ascend into his chamber after a brief cutscene. Tyr will stand up with a spear and shield, with a yellow health bar, indicating that he is of equal gear level.
Tyr can hold up his shield with his left hand, and players will need to double-tap L1 in order to break his guard and create an opening to attack him.

One of Tyr’s attacks includes a forward lunge with his spear, and then straight into an unblockable attack, indicated by the red ring, where he will plunge his spear into the ground. This is an area-of-effect attack, and players will need to run or roll out of the glowing yellow circle before it explodes, causing damage to Kratos.
A combo of Tyr’s is to use the spear, where he will lunge forward with four attacks. The first three can be parried or dodged, but the fourth is a red ring attack that players will need to dodge rather than parry. Timing these parries is perfect to inflict stun onto Tyr and cause further damage to his health bar.

Once Tyr’s health reaches 50%, he will jump into the air and stand atop the large locked doors. He will remain here and summon three Undead Legionnaire enemies. They are no challenge, so it’s best to kill them quickly, butwatch out for Tyrabove, who will occasionally throw down bolts that will explode if players are in its glowing radius.
Once the Undead Legionnaire has been defeated, Tyr will jump down and resume the fight with a few new tricks. The first, sees Tyr raise his arms up, ready to unleash a blast—Double-tap L1 with the shield to stop this move before it is too late.

Tyr also has a three-hit combo, where he will jab with his spear, then two-hand it to lunge forward in a parry/dodge attack, and then back into a sweeping jab. This is a combo players should try and parry through.
Another move involves Tyr throwing his spear towards Kratos, creating a timed explosion. He will then generate another spear and lunge towards Kratos in an unblockable attack, so be weary, and be prepared to roll.

Players will need to stay on the offensive to create their own windows of attack, as Tyr isn’t too hard to stun in this fight, especially if they use the best Light and Heavy Runic Attacks for their weapon, or weapons, of choice.
Tyr Second Fight
For Tyr’s second fight, he will be wearing a set of armor, indicating that he is going to keep getting stronger to fairly compete with Kratos. Tyr unleashes a giant club which he uses as a two-handed weapon. His health bar is orange, showcasing that Tyr is now 1 Gear Level above Kratos, making for a harder fight.
Tyr’s attacks are slower, but he is less likely to be stunned. One of his combos includes two overhead sweeps, and then a third which cannot be blocked or parried, as his club will be on fire and send out a few flames that explode upon impact, so roll backward to avoid being caught in the blast.
Another of his attacks has Tyr swing his club around twice, before coming in with an overhead slam that cannot be parried. Once the hit lands with the floor, fire sparks will explode, so it’s best to roll backward once this red ring appears.
One of Tyr’s attacks includes a yellow ring, meaning players can dodge and parry the move, but not block it. If players succeed in parrying this attack, Tyr will be canceled out of his combo, and players have a nice window of attack.
Another thing to note from the second fight onwards is how Tyr will attempt to grab Kratos with his hand, and players must dodge out of the way to avoid this quick attack. Failing to do so will result in a quick time event, where they must press the corresponding button shown on the screen to get themselves out of his grasp.
Tyr can sometimes use a blood magic move, where he will cut his hand on his weapon to send out a circle of blood explosions. To avoid these, simply dodge between them, as they cannot move backward once they are moving.
At 50% health, Tyr will once again leap into the air, and he will summon 8 Undead Legionnaires. This time, these enemies will rush towards Tyr and the locked door, and if they reach their destination, they will sacrifice their health to give to Tyr. Players need to disrupt these enemies and stop them from reaching their destination to not allow Tyr to regain his health.
After killing the Undead Legionnaires, Tyr will return to the battlefield and fight with the same combos as mentioned before. The best way to beat Tyr for this fight is to use Runic Attacks to cancel his special moves, and to deal a large amount of damage before he has a chance to do anything about it. As always, Spartan Rage should be reserved for emergencies.
Tyr Third Fight
To defeat Tyr inGod of War RagnarokValhalla, players will first be required to face him for a third time. This battle sees Tyr with glowing yellow hands. He will now dual-wield khopeshes, which is a sickle-shaped sword. His health bar remains in the orange variety like it was for the second Tyr fight.
To begin, it’s likely that Tyr will jump up and swing his swords. Players should just hold their block button with R1 to negate the damage of this attack, and then jump straight into a counter.
Tyr begins an attack by spinning his weapons, and swiping his left arm in a move that cannot be blocked, only parried or dodged. It has a comfortable parry window, leaving the opportunity to strike him.
There are new tricks up Tyr’s sleeve, as he might occasionally teleport away, and quickly rush in for a surprise attack. Listen to Mimir and be prepared to dodge before he comes in, but he usually attacks from the right.
One of Tyr’s moves is similar to his previous fight, where he will swing forward, one hand after the other, and then combine them for an unblockable fire attack that summons sparks. Players should roll backward to avoid being caught in this attack.
If players are too far from Tyr, he may leap or dash towards them, which can catch panicked players off-guard.
Once again at half health, Tyr will jump up and force Kratos to fight cannon fodder enemies. Kratos will need to fight Undead Legionnaires, but Tyr will plunge the arena into darkness, blinding Kratos from being able to see far from him. However, if players look up, they can see a beam of light, and they can run into that beam to have a small circle that is safe from the blinding effect.
Tyr will jump down, and players will need to find the light source to keep themselves safe and able to see Tyr’s attacks. It’s a bad idea to fight Tyr in the darkness, as he can dash in and out without players knowing where he is coming from or when he is going to strike.
Tyr Final Fight
The final confrontation with Tyr will see him with glowing eyes and a glowing symbol on his forehead. Tyr will reveal his katana in perhaps his hardest fight yet. This katana makes Tyr nimble, and players will have to anticipate multiple dashes, jumps, and duplicates of Tyr. Tyr also has a purple health bar, indicating that he is 2 Gear Levels above Kratos.
Tyr’s first attack may be a fast-hitting swipe to Kratos’ right, and then to his left, which is finished off by a parry-only stun blast that makes Tyr dash backward to get some distance.
Tyr likes to get the distance in this fight, and he will often jump backward and throw a honing bolt of light that Kratos can dodge, parry, and block. Another jump move involves Tyr throwing his sword into the ground, creating an area of effect attack where Kratos will need to run or dash out of it before it explodes and deals damage.
There’s an attack where Tyr will run his palm across his blade to give it the frost effect. Players can parry this move and avoid it to stop themselves from being put under the slowing effects of frost.
Tyr might occasionally switch to previous weapons, indicated by some combos where he will hit twice with the katana, and then switch to his two-handed club to attempt an unblockable move where he sends fire around the area.
Tyr can also split himself in two, but players need to focus their attacks on the correct Tyr, which will be the one that is glowing.
One move in particular that players will want to look out for has Tyr back off so that he can stomp the ground and send out multiple light projectiles. Players need to run and dash through the gaps between them to avoid damage. This occurs in two waves.
At 50% health, Tyr jumps away again, and Kratos will have to fight a Centaur and two Undead Legionnaires. The Centaur can be a challenging fight, so it’s best to focus on the Undead Legionnaire to make it a 1v1 with the Centaur. To make matters harder, Tyr will often teleport down to cause some damage before teleporting away again.
After the enemies have been defeated, Tyr will leap down, and use some combos from previous fights. Players will need to keep on their guard and use what they have learned to make Tyr yield for the last time and finally reach theGod of War RagnarokValhallaending.
