Ever sinceGrand Theft Auto 5’s inception back in 2013, the modding community has made myriad different mods that range from the practical, such as the game’sPhotorealism mod, to the zany, like the title’sTerminator 2movie mod. Now, in a bid to add some super villain flair to the open world crime release, the prolific modder known as JulioNIB has decided to create a mod that lets players take on the role of Magneto from Marvel’sX-Menseries.
As seen in the video below, JulioNIB’s Magneto mod forGrand Theft Auto 5incorporates what appears to be the design of the character from the filmX-Men: Days of Future Past, with the Marvel villain donning more muted colors than those of his comic book counterpart. And, of course, the mod adds Magneto’s metal-manipulating powers, with players being capable of flight, super punches, and throwing vehicles around like children’s toys. What’s more is that he can even make the guns of NPCs turn on their owners and shoot them.
For those unaware, JulioNIB’s Magneto mod is far from the only Marvel-themed creation that the modder has crafted forGrand Theft Auto 5, as he’s also made some that add Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, and eventhe Mad Titan himself, Thanos. Should JulioNIB keep this trend up, then Los Santos could eventually act as a host to the whole Marvel universe at some point in the future.
All things considered, it’s great thatGrand Theft Auto 5fans like JulioNIB continue to tap into their creative sides in order to keep producing such fun, and occasionally useful mods for the incredibly popular open world game. So, with such a wide variety of mods having been created already, it will definitely be interesting to see what other mods get made forGTA 5next.
