The Terminids are one of the three enemy factions inHelldivers 2that threaten galactic peace and your efforts in spreading managed democracy. These bugs are a fast-spreading hive species that attack in massive hordes. They are vicious, so expect no mercy from them.
Ranging from small scavengers to armored chargers, towering behemoths, and even flying units, your armory has everything you needto send these bugs back into their holes. However, you still need to know what weapons to pair with what stratagems to build the most effective Terminid loadouts inHelldivers 2.

Gear up! It’s time to take down these bugs once and for all, and secure victory for Super Earth.
Stratagems
This is the best loadout you can possibly hope for to take down every armored and large Terminid inHelldivers 2. You no longer have to rely on your teammates to lend a hand. WhenBile Titans, Impalers, and Chargersstart spawning from bug breaches, be at ease knowing thatyou have all the tools availableto level not one or two, but all heavies on your own.
Use the GR-8 Recoilless Rifle and Orbital Railcannon Strike to cycle between high-value targets, and keep the GP-31 Ultimatum as a back-up between reloads.

The LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle delivers a hail of bullets to take care of light enemies. You can also drop your two sentries to shred through chaff. They make it incredibly difficult for any bug to sneak up on you.
The only downside to this anti-heavy loadout inHelldivers 2is its rather slow and methodical nest clearing. For large or heavy nests, drop a sentry on opposite ends to clear out enemies before sprinting in to lob grenades into bug holes.

Nothing beats the AC-8 Autocannon when it comes to clearing out bug nests inHelldivers 2.It has excellent range, precision, fire rate, and ammo. Throw down a sentry to cover your flank or to keep enemies busy, and start firing your Autocannon into every bug hole you see. For the ones below you or on the side, call in an Eagle Airstrike. You can easily clear an entire heavy nest on your own.
TheAC-8 Autocannon loadout inHelldivers 2also takes care of meaty enemies like Brood Commanders, Bile Spewers, Stalkers, and Hive Guards. The only time you will switch to your LAS-16 Sickle will be for the smaller enemy types.

The GP-31 Ultimatum, Orbital Laser, Orbital Railcannon Strike, and G-123 Thermites are enough for heavies. Remember that Eagle Airstrikes also do a ton of damage to armored targets. Feel free to switch between stratagems based on how much firepower you need.
The MG-43 Machine Gun andSiege-Ready armor passivemake a deadly combination inHelldivers 2. You get more ammunition per clip and reload much faster. The weapon also staggers enemies, stopping them in their tracks, making it easier toshred through entire swarms from a single position.

When the coast is clear, make your way into the nests to seal all their bug holes with the CB-9 Exploding Crossbow. While its fire rate is not as high as the Autocannon, the Crossbow is still an excellent choice to close out holes on the run. Each bolt also carries enough power to blow up small groups of light enemies.
Combining power, speed, and adaptability, this Terminid loadout keeps you equipped for every scenario inHelldivers 2.

The R-36 Eruptor is an excellent alternative to the Crossbow, and was recently buffed. It delivers powerful, explosive rounds that can take out large groups of enemies with ease. However, the weapon does come with a frustrating bolt reload delay between each shot.
The SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary remains one of thebest (and most popular) primary weapons inHelldivers 2. It’s highly effective against Terminids, igniting them to take burn damage every second. The Breaker Incendiary shotgun fires multiple pellets in a spread, making it easy to catch and burn grouped-up enemies at range.

The SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary is excellent at dealing with Shriekers due to their low health.
The Orbital Napalm Barrage is a beautiful stratagem to watch in action. It rains down hell on a large area, burning everything to a crisp. Drop it on a bug breach and sit back to see the flames do their magic.

Lastly, the GP-31 Grenade Pistol will help you close out any bug holes on the way, while the EAT-17 delivers anti-tank capabilities anytime, anywhere.
There’s nothing like the smell of fried bugs in the morning. The ARC-3 Arc Thrower fires an arc of electricity across the terrain, chaining multiple targets to leave behind a crispy trail of bugs.A single shock alone can take down a line of small enemies!

The Arc Thrower also has infinite ammo, so the only thing you need to manage is its brief charging time. It requires a few seconds to charge up before you’re able to unleash its powerful electric blast.
Aim slightly above the target to improve your chances of landing a direct hit.

Additionally, the Arc Thrower does stagger damage. While it takes quite a few hits, you can even take down Bile Titans. They will be momentarily stunned with each zap, allowing you to follow up with another one.
The self-sufficiency of the Arc Thrower loadout makes it exceptionally effective against Terminids inHelldivers 2, allowing you to tackle swarms without relying heavily on other resources. This is why you can pick any primary weapon of your choosing. You can even go with the ARC-12 Blitzer, which has infinite ammo like the Arc Thrower, but is only effective at close range.
