Gathering ingredients for potions inHogwarts Legacycan be a bit time-consuming. Players need to purchase pots to grow Magical Plants, and each ingredient requires a different type of seed and a different type of pot. For players that don’t want to worry about any of that,Chopping Stationsare a good solution.
What are Chopping Stations?
These stations are a special kind ofSpellcraft sold at Tomes and Scrollsthat automatically generate Magical Plant products for use in potions. Players can purchase the Chopping Station Spellcraft as soon as they arrive in Hogsmeade, but they can only be placed within the Room of Requirement.
The Chopping Station is just one of many useful Spellcrafts players can obtain inHogwarts Legacy. Each of them provides the player with either a new decoration option, more ways to cultivate Magical Plants, additional brewing opportunities for potions, and much more. If players aren’t sure what to use all that space in the Room of Requirement for, a Chopping Station is a great option.

Buying the Chopping Station Spellcraft
At present, there is only one way to get the Chopping Station Spellcraft, and that is to buy it from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. Players will remember this shop from theirfirst visit to Hogsmeade with Sebastian or Natty, as they made a stop here at the request of Professor Weasley. The Spellcraft for the Chopping Station costs 1500 Galleons, a hefty price for new players but cheap compared to other Spellcraft recipes.
Unlocking the Room of Requirement
As with all other Spellcraft, these items can only beused within the Room of Requirement. To unlock this area, players must progress the main quest until they complete Jackdaw’s Tomb and find the Map Chamber.
While waiting for Professor Fig to return, they should receive an owl from Professor Weasley that unlocks a quest called “The Room of Requirement.” Meet Professor Weasley in the Astronomy Tower to gain access to this magical room and learn necessary spells like the Conjuring Spell.
Using the Chopping Station
The Chopping Station can be summoned in the Room of Requirement using the Conjuring Spell and 20 Moonstones. Players running short cangather more Moonstones outside of Hogwarts.
There is a hard limit of three Chopping Stations in the Room of Requirement, but each one will create a random plant material once every nine minutes. While not a great way to mass produce potion ingredients and potions, this does help supplement players' ingredients stash a bit.
