The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. In the leak, Firefly is shown alongside Phainon. There had already been leaks about some of the potential banners in the update. A previous leak aboutHonkai: Star Rail3.4’s Phase 1 character bannershad mentioned Sunday, Tribbie, and Sparkle would rerun. If this is true, Firefly may rerun in Version 3.4’s Phase 2 banners.
Firefly seems like an odd choice for a rerun at the moment. Seeing how Aglaea and The Herta reran in Version 3.3, it’s natural to expect rerun banners for Mydei and Tribbie soon, especially considering how popular they are. As odd as the leaked choice for Firefly may seem, however, it makes perfect sense. There are several rumors about a newFirefly skin inHonkai: Star Rail3.4, soa rerun for her would be a perfect way to advertise the cosmetic and vice versa. There Still Aren’t New Fire DPS Characters Who Top Her
Even though I believe that other characters could take priority in reruns, such as the aforementioned Mydei and Tribbie, it also makes sense for Firefly to rerun from a gameplay perspective. So far,there haven’t been any new notable Fire DPS characters, and Firefly still holds the title of the best in that category. As such, players looking for Fire DMG to complete certain activities within the game can still rely onFirefly inHonkai: Star Rail.
Firefly is at her best when aided by the Harmony Trailblazer, who is F2P, and Ruan Mei, who was given for free to players who chose her over Luocha.
Additionally,there aren’t rumors of any Fire DPS characters coming anytime soon. Phainon will be Physical, while Saber will be Wind. Archer, on the other hand, will deal Quantum DMG. Looking further down the road, the leaks about Hysilens indicate she will be a DoT DPS, but it’s unclear what her element is. The leaks about March 7th’s new form indicate she will be a Remembrance DPS, though her element is also unknown. Lastly, there are leaks aboutDan Heng’s new form inHonkai: Star Rail, which could be Fire, though he is rumored to be a Preservation unit.
The rumors about Firefly’s rerun should still be taken with a grain of salt, as rerun banners are often some of the elements that are most subject to change. Even so, there is reason to believe that she would rerun in Version 3.4, specifically. Even if she is taking precedence over more awaited Amphoreus character reruns, it’s still a good moment to obtain her inHonkai: Star Railif you haven’t before.
