The fabled day has arrived, andFortniteSeason 6 is currently being rolled out with a Darkness Rising theme. This change-up to the game makes thepreviously-revealed Werewolf skinmake much more sense in context and so does the detailed changes coming to the map. Each sound incredibly eerie, and this season definitely has a Halloween vibe to it.

The first thing fans may notice is the number of corrupted areas spread across the map. It seems Kevin the mystery cube has left behind his love for the battle royale players in an item known as the shadow stone. Theseshadow stones, found only in corrupted areas, give players a safe mode known as shadow form.

Per theFortnitetrailer below, there is also a floating island over Loot Lake now. This change supports the popular Dark World theory that spread prior to the launch of season 6, and according to that theory, this floating island will become a city for the Enforcers. While that remains to be seen, it’s an interesting vertical addition to the map nevertheless.

Two of the more Halloween-related changes coming to the map include areas with corn fields and a haunted castle. These are likely to be fan-favorite areas on the newly-redesignedparty-readybattle island, especially as the holiday nears. Epic Games promises players even more changes than this, suggesting players drop into the game to find more.

While these locations are the bread and butter of the battle island, the storm is incredibly important as well, so Epic Games had updated the way the circle enclosure mechanic operates. The changes are detailed below:

These changes and more are likely to go a long way for the popular battle royale game, as players will soon be dropping in to check out these changes. Tell us, Ranters, what sounds the most interesting to you?
