How to Earn Crystals
For new players, earning crystals at the beginning may come very easily. The rewards section also offers players withdaily, weekly, special, and campaign rewardsto aim for, and the tasks range from logging in every day to playing through specific levels. Crystals can quickly pile up before touching a level, but the fun truly begins when it’s time to jump into story mode.
Crystals will not go toward a player’s total count but instead to the Gift Box. Select the Present icon in the main menu to collect Crystals earned during gameplay.
It’s also important to remember thatFinal Fantasy 7 Ever Crisisdoes not come fully unlocked. Various different modes and areas will come locked, forcing players to fulfill the necessary tasks in order to unlock them. These range from theChocobo Ranch, where players can assign characters to do quests for spoils, andEvent stages, challenging players around the world to take down difficult wavesfor five-star weaponsand summoning tickets.
Once enough of the story has been played through, these modes will unlock and players should jump into these events as soon as possible. All events come with atime span between one and two weeksand give everyone a small window to collect all the rewards before time runs out.
How to Use Crystals and Tickets to Summon Weapons
When a player has accumulated3,000 Crystals or 10 Summoning Tickets, they can use them to summon for weapons. Select theDraw iconon the main menu to advance to the Summon section. Here, players canfind all available summonsand can choose which one they wish to pull on.
Sporadically throughout the month,Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisiswill release Special Draws, either giving players a free pull or a bargain pull usingRed Crystals, the game’s monetized version ofBlue Crystals. Featured draws focus on specific characters and draw attention to a newly-released weapon and outfit. Outfits are not only aesthetic; they offer increases to certain stats of the character and boost elemental advantages that are typically paired with the event that is ongoing.
The Ticket section is specifically used for summons involving tickets accumulated throughout the playthrough. There are various types of tickets, from three-star to five-star weapon draws, and character-specific draws, where all ten weapons pulled belong to one character.
Once a selection is made, tap the Draw button in the bottom right corner to make the selection and then confirm the decision to advance to the next stage. A graphic will show Cloud running toward an Iron Giant enemy, and the animation may indicate a guaranteed five-star weapon.Five-star weapons are not guaranteed initially on each draw, but the following animations will indicate one is on the way:
If any of the above scenarios occur, players can expect at least one five-star weapon in their pull. If Cloud’s parry with the Iron Giant ends in a stalemate, there’s a good chance that the ten weapons in the draw will be three and four-star weapons. There is still a chance to get a premium weapon, but the odds will not be in the player’s favor in this scenario.
Paying Attention to Chocobo Stamps
When players pull on aFeatured Draw, they accumulate stamps that go towards a bonus known as the Stamp Sheet. Prior to the animation involving Cloud and the Iron Giant,a yellow Chocobowill appear in front of a sign, cry out, and run past a wooden post, which will indicate the total number of stamps a player gets.
Unlike the usual pity system most gacha games have,Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisisruns ona luck-based systemthat ensures playersget the featured weapon after five pullsand that they alsoget the featured costume after ten pulls. Fortunately, the number of stamps a player collects can range from one stamp up to twelve in one single pull. Here are the odds of each number:
Obtaining 12 stamps in one pullguarantees the player both the featured weapon and costumeand advances the player to the second page of the Stamp Sheet. There are four pages in total, with forty-eight rewards overall to accumulate. It’s highly unlikely a player will see 12 stamps in one pull, and reaching the last page of the Stamp Sheet appears to be the most predatory of microtransactions that the game offers, with big spenders being the only ones to achieve that number of stamps in a short amount of time.
It isn’t recommended for those who wish to remain as free-to-play as possible. For those who wish to keep their wallets tucked away, they should only prioritize characters they wish to build for the main trio.
