Humankindis a strategy game currently in development by Amplitude Studios and Sega. Originally, the game was supposed to release this year,but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it was announced several months ago that the game was delayed. Now, its release date in 2021 has been narrowed down.
For players who have been waiting for a more specific date on when to expectHumankind, Amplitude Studios confirmed the game will launch next April for the PC and Google Stadia. However, players on Stadia can tryHumankindright now througha new OpenDev Beta Scenario, which will provide access to a free 100-turn gameplay scenario that offers players a glimpse of the upcoming title. This preview will allow players to try out different scenarios and return feedback to the developers.

Amplitude highlighted that player feedback will be a very important step for the development ofHumankind,with the studio saying in a previous Twitter post that “we want YOU to make the game even better.” Of course, giventhe wide variety of established strategy gamesthat are already out in the market, player feedback could be an invaluable resource for Amplitude Studios to make Humankind stand out from its competition.
Additionally, pre-orders forHumankindare also available today, which includes a digital deluxe edition. This special version ofHumankindwill include the in-game Notre-Dame pack, the Official Digital Soundtrack, and a PDF copy of the Unit & Tech Tree. Moreover, players who pre-purchaseHumankindwill receive bonuses such as a Boudicca Avatar Set, Player Profile Pre-Purchase Decoration, and Player Profile Symbol Set.
